Well, looks like Talha will be the first on try the Powered Parachute and other 7 persons also are ready to feel this new experience.

After that, you will see the posts and everybody will want to do it.

That happend to me the first time I jumped in one of them.

Make your booking in advance, after a few month will be so difficult to book a seat...I can guaranty you that.

Galgo, yes I think it’d be fun to try and ride on the Power Parachute! As for the skydiving ... humm ... I’m just licensed to trip and fall so better leave it for now :D

Problem is, I’m leaving the country for good soon so I’m not sure I’ll be able to make it ... I’ll try and see what can I do for the first week end of November.

well I don't know how it is for Miguel, but for kiteboarding or paraglding you can more or

less just take your car and drive to the dunes or the beach.

People doing these sports are friendly :-)

For Kiteboarding go to Zekreet or Whakra Beach

For Paraglding go to Sealine and drive in to the dunes... you will see the gliders in the air.

There is also instructors for both here in doha... plus the shops that sell the equipment.

Write me a pm and I give you the numbers of the guys.

I went para-sailing in Barbados during stormy weather (it was quite terrifying!) when on holiday with a boyfriend - he was so impressed he asked me to marry him.

We will have been married 30 years next year!

Hi Miguel,

I am glad you did your home work :-) !

So many people come, try, fail, complain and blame it on the country... and if they would

have used their brains from the beginning they would have noticed that back in their

own country the restrictions are even bigger....

Yep sounds like a nice idea to join you guys one of these days.

Thanks Marc for your advice. Before start this activity we requested the proper authorizations and we are able to fly anytime we don't go further of the assigned area by QCAA.

Our intention is to promote the sports and new activities in Doha so if you want to join us you are welcome.

HI,

I don't want to spoil you innovative idea...

But anything that flies and has a motor is not allowed in Doha, unless you work for the Army

or QA.

I am one of those paragliders out in the dessert... and there are enough problems associated with that.

If I were you, I would be very very careful !

They are very scared when they see you fly in the dessert about the oil refinery and q-chem plant...

We used to just paraglide near that place and had to dislocated because of the police asking too many

questions.

Beside the problems you might generate for your self, these might also negatively involve people

doing simple paragliding, since in Qatar they simply ban everything or nothing ;-) !

Have fun with your new toy.
