DOHA: Illegal trade in ‘free visas’ is still on and the going rate, depending on the nature of work mentioned in a document, is QR12,500, reports Al Sharq, claiming that it has a copy of the cash receipt visa providers handed to a “buyer”.
The “buyer” paid QR12,500 in cash to the manager of a company to obtain a work visa for an accountant. The company is, as per local laws, registered in the name of a national, but the manager is a Syrian national.
What confirms that it is a work visa, according to the daily, is that the “offer letter” handed to the buyer on behalf of the company mentions the monthly salary of a “to be recruited accountant” at a laughable QR750 with no mention of a housing allowance or other benefits.
This is to ensure that in case of a dispute the “buyer” does not sue the company.

As I said before, they have the local sponsor who is pocketing at least 51% of that visa fee - why isn't he being held responsible? If it's only because he's a national that's pretty sad.

but the government should have some alternatives so that this practices will not continue.
