Betrayed

I ran into an individual today. He was really angry as a fellow countryman reported his cousin to the authorities for a reward. His cousin was arrested and is now awaiting deportation. Sometimes people will find themselves in a bind for one reason or another. Do you feel you can trust people from your own community or country to support and help one and other? Or would you rather not?

I trust the people I know and trust. I don't make assumptions about ethnicity, race or nationality.

BE, I'd dob an Australian in for double parking. They'd probably have a body in the boot anyway.

I find the worst cons or crimes that happen in Qatar happen between members of the same community the number of Indians and Filipinos I see ripping off their own kind is disgusting.

I find this "reward" thing rather dubious.

If somebody has done something wrong, you either report him or you keep quiet. Reporting a person's wrong doing because of a reward is dishonourable.IMHO

If someone has committed a grave crime, it would make sense to report it. In every crime committed, there are those who face losses (either of life, or in matter) Better sense of justice must prevail. Appropriate counselling must be given to those who do that crime...

No matter what you do and which side u select, Karma comes back at you like a boomerang.. :P

I cannot believe that you would turn in an Aussie for a paltry amount :o(

Depends on the crime, and the amount offered as the reward ; )

It is always better to be discreet .. you never know who would stab you in the back leave aside you doing something unlawful or illegal and that applies irrespetive of where you are. Trust and love are the most difficult things to find these days, naturally.

My question is this: Should a community turn a blind eye if someone of their group is doing wrong ?
