The beer that drew censorship!
Is this Big Brother going too far ? I believe so!
The design for a beer label has become the subject of a censorship battle.
A Brewery is suing Michigan's state Liquor Control Commission in federal court over its prohibition of the bottler's "Raging B!tch" label.
The 20th Anniversary India Pale Ale label urges customers, "Remember, enjoying a Raging B!tch, unleashed, untamed, unbridled -- and in heat -- is pure GONZO."
The commission decided that the language on the bottle that is "detrimental to the health, safety or welfare of the general public".
The Brewery is suing for damages on the grounds that the decision violates the First Amendment guaranteeing freedom of expression under the Constitution and unfairly besmirches the artists right to produce eye-catching art.
Jim Caruso, the brewery's chief executive, who was introduced to Steadman by Thompson, said: "This is about much more than a beer label. It's about regulators gradually morphing into the thought police. We believe not only in freedom of speech and artistic expression for both businesses and individuals, but also in the right to choose or reject books, art, literature and artisanal craft beer."

Well, they have had a humour bypass then :-)
The jobsworths were complaining about the whole label - not the name.
the babe in total controlof herself? :P
Why is Black Dog not banned?
Bytches only get offended and dogs don't??
I don't see anything wrong in this name. There is a beer in England called - 'The Bishops Finger' - I don't see any Bishops complaining.
that's their job
LP,
LOL... in the middle of all the non sense we see here, at least we still have someone who is able to maintain a healthy and intelligent sense of humor!
So when did harmless words become swear words?
Does the person, who removed the word from the OP, know that it’s a normal English word that means female dog?!!!
The righteous’ morbid obscene pleasure of controlling!
8.3% Mmmmmmmm
"B*****s come in a variety of forms, but there's never been something as sassy as Flying Dog's Raging B**** Belgian IPA. An American IPA augmented with Belgian yeast, our 20th anniversary beer jumps out of the glass and nips at your taste buds with its delicate hop bitterness. At 8.3% ABV, this b***** is dangerously drinkable."
Is it this that you mean, brit?

Loved the caption on the label... I suppose not many would really understand it :O)
I guess the female dog is now raging!
Oh, you are soooo innocent, brit.
Apologies..
I didn't realise that the word had been modified during posting..
Yep, it's 'Raging B.i.t.c.h'
Its b*t*h?
Is the missing word 'hard-on'?
Same censorship here!
