Bad Meat in Fast Food Outlet

Does anyone know who I should report this to? Myself and my two boys are feeling sick after eating earlier this afternoon but my daughter is fine so I'm sure it was the food.

TIA

Last night I thought that we would all be okay this morning but the three of us are still feeling sick. The boys are still in bed instead of going to school.

I'm not going to do anything about it this time apart from dealing with the sore stomachs but if it should ever happen again then I'll report it.

In one fast food outlet, I went to wash my hands and I see cubicle door open and this employee came out and guess what he had his gloves on.

He did not bother to remove them when he went to toilet, came out and just left.

Unbelievable it was.

>The last time someone caused a fuss on this site, it spurred the municipality into action. Some doctor complained about the state of hygiene in fast-food outlets, and two days later the newspapers reported on a series of raids.

If I were you, I'd name the restaurant here. It's difficult to believe, but people read this rubbish ;)<

I didn't want to name the place just in case I was wrong. All I'll say is that it was one of the major chains in a well know location.

Also if your daughter is OK it is also doubtful it is food poisoning if you all ate the same thing.

I didn't make it clear in my original post that my daughter had eaten something different to the rest of us. None of us threw up though we felt sick all afternoon. The boys went to bed and seem to be okay now so I don't think we got food poisining but there was definitely something wrong with the meat. I'm not reporting it this time but I don't think that we will be eating there again in a hurry. By the way, this was a large chain, not an independent.

U can complaint to the Municipality, they are the one who always inspects the restaurant and hotel for hygiene and sanitation standard. If u report it to them they might close the restaurant. And they will really do something if u report it. Good luck and I hope u and the kids get well soon.

Are you sure you have food poisoning and not coming down with the flu that is so rampant in Doha at the moment?

If you have food poisoning you will surely vomit, no doubt about it. If you just feel a little sick I am not so sure I would complain about the restaurant as you can really damage someones livelyhood. Also if your daughter is OK it is also doubtful it is food poisoning if you all ate the same thing.

I dont think there is any sort of random inspections from the side of the authorities out here. Some of the shops selling food looks really substandard.

Yes! Immediately have a medical check-up from your trusted hospital. One of my friends experienced the same thing with one famous fastfood sometime back. Hopefully, this won't happen to all.

Thanks. I checked the Gulf Times online and couldn't find the number. Guess I wasn't searching correctly.
