Azamats free international etiquette tips

Business etiquette in Japan: It is generally unacceptable for women to wear high heels during business meetings.

Qatar: The opposite is true, especially for expats from a certain arab country who have delusions of being europeans.

Tip: Heels - 6 inches or above is good. Glass heels are currently in fashion. Better yet, wear leapord print boots and matching skirts.

This is recommended business dressing etiquette for Doha boardrooms, or if you are a streetwalker in most other part of the world.

For men - super tight suits, tie optional, leave top button open to show some chest fuzz. Point shoes compulsory. Slick hair with 1930's style pomade.

Didn't it used to be polite in the ME to burp (loudly) after a meal?

A sandwich is meant to be eaten by hand. Like so -

I have no idea why my Chinese friend freaks out when she sees me pick up a sandwich or burger with my bare hands, and not wrapped in a paper napkin.

You don't need flatware for pizza or wings, or ribs, or KFC.............

Eating etiquette: It is acceptable, even recommended to make eating noises while in Japan (and Korea). In Vietnam (and most far eastern countries, making loud slurping noises shows appreciation for the food served.

Eating silently might be taken as being rude.

Take all food that's offered and have a small portion even if you do not want it. It's rude to refuse.

Do not refuse sake. Drink it.

In Korea, it's rude to pour ones own drink. You pour for others (and vice versa). Also turn your face, and cover with the free hand when you drink in front of men (if you are a woman), or elders. This still has me ROFLing when my Korean friend does it in front of me. I don't know if she's being polite or just taking the piss. LOL!
