well, it is kinda daft to just delete random scenes, especially if they were not offensive at all...

I saw both so I know it wasn't sex scenes it was random conversation nothing offensive at all. I have no idea why they would cut what they did, it took 10 minutes or so off the movie. but like I said it was random scenes dropped.

I saw both version at IMAX a week apart so I rember the scenes that were dropped. Then again maybe I missed a nipple slip the first time.

most likely the sex scenes between the avatars. Time-wise it didn't amount to much (so I don't think it was to squeeze in more showings).

I really think they should be required to say that they cut scenes out. It's like buying a magazine for QR40 then going home and finding they tore out a 7 page article -- which still happens here. It's misleading. At least if they were honest about it, then people could make informed choices about whether to see/buy it it here or wait until later without censorship.

I saw it when it opened and again later both times at IMAX and they cut random scenes out for time I think, cause it was nothing offensive just random dialog. I think they did it for time to squezze more showings in

I just wish they had shortened it in City Center as well, would have ended up wasting less of my time.

that is why i prefer just watching it on dvd, at least i get to see a movie in full, not with deleted scenes... 3D or IMAx doesn't make much of a difference to me anyway..

When i went to take ticket for Avatar in Imax,It was house full and i was forced to take for the normal 3D.I too felt like some scenes were missing. For example when the hero jumps from the normal dragon to the big red color one, a black screen appeared for few seconds and something else was continued..
