What a shame, is he christian?

CNN) -- Josef Fritzl, the Austrian accused of keeping his daughter in a cellar for decades and fathering her seven children, will plead guilty to rape and incest when his trial opens Monday, Fritzl's lawyer told CNN.

However, Fritzl will deny other charge he faces: murder, enslavement and assault, attorney Rudolph Mayer said Sunday.

The 73-year-old expects to spend the rest of his life in prison, Mayer added.

Fritzl faces six charges in a closed-door trial. The trial is scheduled to last five days, but Mayer said it could be shorter.

Fritzl was charged in November with incest and the repeated rape of his daughter, Elisabeth, over a 24-year period.

But he was also charged with the murder of one of the children he fathered with her, an infant who died soon after birth. State Prosecutor Gerhard Sedlacek said Michael Fritzl died from lack of medical care.

In all, Fritzl is charged with: murder, involvement in slave trade (slavery), rape, incest, assault and deprivation of liberty, Sedlacek's office said. If convicted, he could face life in prison. Austria does not have the death penalty.

"This man obviously led a double life for 24 years. He had a wife and had seven kids with her. And then he had another family with his daughter, fathered another seven children with her," said Franz Polzer, a police officer in Amstetten, the town where Fritzl lived, at the time of his arrest.

I, of course agree.

My thoughts are my own, but I doubt my Mum would agree with some of them.

"Would you not think that a 'sane' person would think enough is enough and give their kids the life they never had?"

Exactly, if he is claiming he did it because he himself was abused as a child, therefore shoulden't he have wanted to give them the childhood he had never had, and not of abused them?

It is not an excuse. There is no excuse for doing somehting like that.

He was just evil.

Is it not ironic therefore they carry on the abuse?

Would you not think that a 'sane' person would think enough is enough and give their kids the life they never had?

Which just goes to show (in my view) he is just a twisted, perverse, sad evil man.

To be honest even rotting in hell is not good enough for him.

My thoughts are my own, but I doubt my Mum would agree with some of them.

The sad thing is that this case had to come to trial and the abuses suffered by the poor "children" have been broadcast to the world. Even sadder and perhaps sicker is the fact that this evil moron is claiming that he actions weere causewd because he was abused as a child.
