Since this is a very multi-cultural forum I'm hoping that some of the Asians, or Westerners in the know, on the site can tell me who the best athletes will be at the upcoming Asian Games.
I am waiting on the wrestling. I want to see cauliflower ears. I was thinking about going to watch boxing but I love it too much to be disappointed by a low level of competition. I know the wrestling competition is at a high level so I can get my kicks watching people land on their heads. :-) Who are some of the names in wrestling in the GCC and Asia?

Friends.....I am eagerly waiting to watch Pakistan - India hockey match. Also badminton from the world top class players from china,Indonesia,Korea and all.
Nope, they're rubbish too. Bahrain have granted citizenship to a few saffa's so they will have an element of competency but unless UAE and Qatar do the same it's going to be like lambs to the slaughter
i wonder if uae has a decent rugby team. with the way they splurge on building rugby facilities and hosting international rugby events..you'd think they would.
They've been training for about 6 months now and have just about learned to catch and pass. I think a competent under 12 team would beat them and I fear for their safety when they play teams like Japan and Korea. It's going to be carnage
Best athlete will probably be the Chinese 110m hurdler (can't remember his name). The Sports I'd most like to see are Sapaktakraw and Kabbadi. Shame I'll probably be working too hard to actually get to watch them. Woe is me etc and so on and so forth

Double post
He talks out of his arse so why shouldn't he see with his nose?
As opposed to seeing with what? Your nose?
Don't worry, I'm sure they do have rugby. Japan will win gold, Korea will win silver
Sepakatraw, go and see with your eyes
Johar Ab.....

china will be the best... n gymnastics I want to watch that
how original. if your own players are rubbish..get the saffa's to help you out..heh..

i didn't know there was a qatari rugby team? that i HAVE to watch.
The Qatari rugby team are sure to be good too.
i hope to see some decent footie during the asian games..none of those crappy olympic national teams. Especially if s. korea and japan play..
It isn't. But sometimes it has to be done. :P
I thought research was no fun?
It's Liu Xiang AKS, and his appearence at these games is tentative.
Just get along to whichever Athletics session has 110m hurdles and look out for the tall Chinese fella who wins by about 20 metres. Easy
Thanks, names help though. Otherwise I have to do research and thats no fun. :P
