Art or just bad taste ?

There is always a fine line about what is acceptable as art. It is all subjective.

However, to me , this pushes the boundry a little too far. What say you ?

____________

A Dutch artist has turned his dead cat into a remote-control flying helicopter. Jansen calls his creation the Orvillecopter and describes it as "half-cat, half-machine."

The Orvillecopter is exactly what it looks like: A taxidermied cat with a plastic propeller attached to each paw.

this is what people call dangerous mind..wonder what he will do next..turn his dog into a car or boat maybe...

he should not be near with pet lovers as they might take revenge and cut his balls and preserve it as golf balls..ouch!!!!

what about eyes?

As I understand taxidermy is a surgery of human body post-mortem to maintain just a skeleton with skin :P

Taxidermy is an art. Basically, remove all internal organs and treat the carcass with chemicals..

MN....how long one can preserve a dead body? and how to kill the deadly smell?

Mummify could be a better solution to display in a museum

I thought I would find it creepy but I can't stop laughing. I want someone to turn me into a helicopter after I die. I will donate my body to science just to make that happen!

They say war is an art. In modern times, absolutely anything could be art to some people. Personally I am not fascinated seeing dead animals and people.

The dog I lost I rested in a Following River.

The Cat that died was buried in the back of the garden.

The mice/Rats that I trapped were flushed down the toilet.

The Chicken I kept were eaten by me after they stopped giving eggs.

The budgies where also buried in the back of the garden

We now have a Guniea Pig. Haven't thought about what to do with it after it dies!

and non sense;

Wild imaginations could not be described as piece of Art.

Humans are social animals, being social have to respect people and their sentiments.

We can draw a hard line to segregate between decent and dirty.

By drsam• 5 Jun 2012 09:46
drsam

it is a subjective boundary

i find impressionist (monet,Degas,...) and postimpressionist (van gogh, manet,...) wonderfull pieces of art,

but i dislike cubism (picasso), or surrealistic (salvador dali) paintings.

other people disagree.

by the way who bought Munch's scream on 2cd of may? is it still undisclosed buyer? qatar was among the bidders.
