I don't know if anyone other that Brits will know or even care, that tonight is Guy Fawkes night AKA Bonfire Night or Firework Night. For any non Brits curious take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guy_Fawkes

So anyway what I was wondering is, does anyone do anything Bonfire or Fireworkish here in Qatar? Or is this one of those easy to forget events once you are away from the UK?

Remember, remember the 5th of November! Yes, it is a shame...

“- Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?

- That depends a good deal on where you want to get to, said the Cat."

Oh what a shame for the kids. We have ideal weather for a bonfire too :-(

Just speaking to home at the moment, and apparently it's tipping down there, and it's forecast to continue into the nights. So I don't think they are going to be doing much over there tonight either.

If we had thought of this before, we could've organised something. Its such a shame.

I have not heard of any events for tonight. Shame cos I would have loved to take my little ones.
