Hi everyone,

I am coming to Doha on Thursday to visit my Fiance and am flying Gulf Airways as it was the cheapest (gulp!)  Ive heard some relatively negative comments about the airline since booking and I'm wondering if perhaps I made a mistake!! Undecided  Anyone had any experiences of flying with them?

Thanks!! Kiss

Recently we had traveled on GF on 3 different sectors from Doha & return, amounting to a grand total of six sectors travelled. Would you imagine ALL their flight departures were atleast 15mins late (average) Non of the delays were explained and we were treated like monkeys as they served water and nuts as an explanation.

Keep in mind QR is a rising airline, whilst GF is a pioneer in the region. They bang on about their "Flying Chefs" I was definatelty served something that was still alive and searching to be let back into the sea.

I'd give Gulf Air thumbs up, compared to Qatar Airways. Qatar Airways doesn't give a damn about economy class passenger, while for Gulf Air a paying customer is a paying customer.

After all they know the meaning ow the word "service" in Bahrain, while Qatar is still in the service stone age.

Only joking!! well sort of. You should find the service and flight ok. The Crew night stop in London, so should be fresh and ready for your 10am flight. The food is also catered out of london so it is not too bad. We usually fly business class from London so can not comment too much if you are flying in another cabin.

it shouldnt be a problem, i have travelled many times by gulf air, and they are fine, didnt have any trouble with them.insha'allah you will land here safely.

It was fun coz we were only 25-30 passengers from Abu Dhabi to Kuala Lampur..so every1 had a long seat/ sofa to lay on... :)

And food was great!..many blankets too :))

Have flown with them quite a few times now. Pretty average. Not my airline of choice, but if the price is right I would use them (as we have done). They have some new planes now, hopefully you will get one of those as that makes a difference.

With airlines what's important is that they get you safely from A to C through B (in your case). I'm sure Gulf Air will manage to do that.

Have a safe trip.
