Anyone for badminton?

Hey Angelface,
Was just breezing through your details and was thrilled to find you were interested in badminton.
AT LAST I FOUND SOMEBODY INTERESTED IN THE SPORT...
Have you been able to find some place to knock?
Me, I'm an Indian and will be shortly coming to Doha to work. Among my various concerns was how and where I would be able to carry on my love for a game that has kept me up and about, and out of harm's way for the last 10 years.
Once you get to Doha we must meet up and smash some shuttlecocks (the feathered variety) the old-fashioned way.
WHAT SAY YOU???

mainly indians are there...but there is one. So you'll be at home, and I think good players too!! My husband plays, but since Garveys took over the court, he switched to tennis... Still good at the game though, but its not good to be playing all three (squash, tennis, badminton) so he dropped the Badminton.

Hope you find it good enough for you.

The Q-tel Club badminton court was really good......I have played there during my junior school days....long time though....actually I even joined the karate classes 4 a while when they started it...in the begining it was only a single shift of karate then back to badminton...dunno what its like now.

Have fun....

I'll try n see if i can find some better place to play....

You know what Angel Face? I was sure that nobody played badminton there, so unconciously, I was veering round to condition myself to pick up a squash racquet. Tennis, however, I have never liked so there was no inclination. The more I think about it, teh more I feel we'll gel like no hair gel could.

And worry not, even I haven't reached there. I am still in India and will be reaching in the first week of Septemeber.

Yes! and bring those badminton racquets along, you never know.

Stay in touch and keep me posted on your plans and how they are progressing.

the thing is, i'm not there yet so I haven't been able to look around. i'll be there in late September, but I'm pretty sure we'll find one. I was actually thinking of learning the racket sport squash, which i believe is not that much different from lawn tennis. if i can't find a great badminton court, i'll have to take up squash instead, or lawn tennis. I just really need something to get my adrenaline going, and of course to keep me fit. volleyball is really my main sport, i've been playing since i was 11 years old. but i would love to play badminton given the chance. i guess i'll have to bring my racket then. haha!
