I don't know what you guys are complaining about.Go back to your country where you are coming from and look at the crime rate in South Africa .Specially in Gauteng and Western Cape .Street crime and rape is too much high in Cape Town .It is on 9-10th number interms of Tourist place and crime wise.
Well I have been here for 4 yrs now and still cannot get used to it - when you get here you will know just what I mean.
Somehow the whole culture and bonding bit is just not here for me, as compared to back home in good old Durbs, but then again this just might be the problem...I compare the lifestyle here to back home and there is no way it can compete on any level for that matter.
It is modern out here, socialising and shopping is big and I am sure with the whole family moving out to Qatar, you guys are gonna have loads of fun
I think you are going to find Qatar slightly different from Saudi.... From what I have read, Saudi is quiet conservative.... Well Qatar is ALMOST the opposite....
Don't get me wrong, they are still not used to seeing women wearing anything above the knee or elbow, but you won't be stoned in the street for it....
I was in Qatar for 2weeks last year and had the most amazing time.... I am hoping to be returning this year to work.
