Animal Testing?

I wanted to know, How does everyone feel about animal testing?
Usually when I buy make up and that sort of stuff, I ask if the product was tested on animals, I just simply get a "WHAT? HA?" respond. or "I don't know, maybe" (except for one store) anyways.

I was shocked that some people didn't even know products get tested on animals, or didnt ever bother to think.

As for me. I am 100% against it.

Hmmmm, ideally I am against it . However,Im afraid the harsh reality is that a lot of animal experiments do need to be done as there are no alternatives . I think from a point of balance it is because I personally feel that medical research may warrant this kind of testing but I find it hard to reconcile when it comes to something as frivelous as beauty(vanity) products.

Unfortunately the animal liberation leaugue are motivated by emotion rather than logic . Im thinking about some cases where mink were released into the wild and the ecological damage they inflicted.

Another point worth making it products in the uk that say "not tested on animals" refer to the product in its final state, as opposed to the chemicals that make it up. So a product may not be tested on animals, but the individual constituents may.

For totally animal free testing products, have you tried somewhere like the body shop in Villagiom they have a policy not to sell anything that has been tested on animals. I think!

I couldn't care one way or the other.

I'd guess anyone against it is 100% against it. The rest would be the same as me. I doubt very much that anyone is 100% for it!

Did you Google it first?
