Advise b4 shifting to Doha
Please advise me of monthly cost of living in Qatar. I am Indian living in KSA for last 16 years and family is with me for last 10 years, we have a baby girl aged 4 years. Please provide me with guidance about living cost at Doha about monthly house rent for 2 bedrrom flat/1 bedroom flat, average monthly medical charges, Transportation cost (how much it will cost for a second hand camry 2000 model in Doha), groceries and food. I heard that telephone calls also cost much higher. I really dont know how much I should ask the management for a decent survival in Doha. My company management is planning to shift me to Doha and I need some guidance about the package to be asked to survive decently there with family. If company is providing accommodation how much I should ask for other things like medical, transportation etc. or what is the total amount I should ask if management is offering a total package. I am working in Office Administration side.

Dear I think you are missing some "0" eventhough you studied no value for "0" it is not applicable for salary!! It will weigh more with more "0", ofcourse with salary of 100QR i will be needing a health insurance because of starving!

Rent 2 bedroom = 7500 to 12000 (depends on area)
1 Bedroom=4500 to 7000
groceries depends on ur life style. you can manage with 2000 to 3000
2000 model vehicle will cost you. 15000 to 20000.

& welcome to doha..apart from cost of living.......its a far better place than KSA
It is realy diffrent and more expensive here in Qatar than KSA.every thing now get expensive>QR 100 plus accomodation plus health insurance will be fine
If your office is in Abu Samra, It is better to come daily from KSA
