I am interested in having an ADSL connection at my house and am really confused about the options avialbale to me. I did some research on the QTEL site but wasnt clear about the best possible option (the most economical) I would welcome suggestions about the two options which I thought are the best options at my disposal.

Qtel just add a small filter box, Router & a TV decoder to your existing line.

If you want to check whether your line is Moziac capable go to the Qtel shop with your ID & and fill form for Moziac. Give them your existing No. They check if it is capable and if it is they take your application. You need not pay the QR1000 installation charges it will only be deducted after the installation.

Most probably you will get a installation within3 to 7 days of application. If they are getting any longer its most porbably due to the digging around your house or the area and line distrupton or something.

Its the best if you have a Wi-Fi laptop. Go for it you will not regret.

I wouldn't join Mozaic. First of all you probably wont get all the channels you want and will be paying extra, the maximum speed is 512kb (mine is 2mb but I get almost 3mb speeds to be honest), and finally it's not that economical if you calculate simply getting a good line speed, getting a dish, and factor in that you're probably going to be using your mobile more anyway.

I'm also in your situation (planning to get ADSL). According to what I've read about this on previous posts, 512Kb seems to be enough unless you have special heavy download requirements.

I'm also not sure about Mozaic. I've scrutinized previous QL posts about Mozaic, and found that some people seem to have had positive experiences, while others are disappointed. The good thing is obviously that you get it "for free" if you are getting ADSL anyway.

Qtel website is unprofessionally designed and doesn't provide customers with details about options, features, installations, etc. And their application forms aren't any better.
