By the way, Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar is a private institution, which is established jointly between Qatar Foundation and Weill Medical College in New York, and Cornell University in Ithaca. The 6years program offers both pre-medical and medical studies. The pre-medical program is a non-degree (that last 2years), and applicants who qualify for medical program will graduate after 4years with a M.D equivalent to that obtained from Weill Medical College in New York.

we shall keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.

lets see what comes up...........

i always encourage people to take upcourses to advance their qualification, since in my opinion avenues for study in this place are less, why not he take up an online course or correspondene course with a university back home, that could help advance his career.just something to think about.

be prepared for your mighty adventure in the desert paradise of .............shucks no matter how hard i try, i just cant glorify the place, i am beyond words, but a small reassurance, I love this place, although this is not my homeland.

congratS, all seem to be coming to al jazeera.

doha is a lovely place, i have a strong attachment to this place as i am born and brought up here, its in your best interests that we all suggested that u dont have your honeymoon here, thats all, no pun intended. its a nice place for family life, i have relatives in dubai and i like going there only for a short holiday, and then i need a holiday to recover from it.

in this place you will be able to spend quality time with your family, esp so now that you are married, you will desire to spend more time, you will get it here.

regarding jobs, he can come here and try, should not be a problem.he will have to apply here in person.it could be a little waiting game, but no stress.

dont be nervous at all, it wont be that great of an adventure, its just a nice sweet, at times lazy place.youwill see.

doha is a good place for family life. here you wont get the same fasst life as in dubai but its nice and the country is one of the fast developing ones here . so dont get discouraged by such comments you stil can have a nice time here , only you might be bit lonely alone . make sure you get your hubby over here fast.. welcome to dohha and enjooyy

Hiya han19.. thanks-a-zillion!

I accepted the job offered by Al-Jazeera.. hoping that it'll change the value of my resume ;)

Do you know, possibility of getting a job when you are in Doha? It's actually for my hubby.. I need to find him a job so we could be together as a family.. as u said, Doha is good for family life.. hehe..

Yeah.. Doha would be my real adventure, haven't been ere before.. am quite nervous!

so now we know the truth.

doha is a fast upcoming, trying to get modern place, lousy for honeymoon but good for family life.

where have u accepted your job offer, insha'allah it wont be a mistake, but it will be a huge change from where you are coming and you will see it once you are here, that is if you havent already been here before.

oh by the way congratulations for the job and getting married.

I didn't purposely choose Doha for honeymoon.. i know better! ;P

But I've got this job offer and all of the sudden, I'm married... I'm coming over on 30th Oct and will start my new life in Doha.. my hubby on the other hand, will only accompany me for 2 weeks and fly back to our hometown, as he hasn't quit his job! Am struggling to find him a job here too..Thus, we ought to have our honeymoon ere!

So.. Doha is that bad huh? Am i making my biggest mistake having accepted this job offer? :( please tell me i'm wrong!

Coming for Doha Games??.. yeah rite!

whoever advised you doha for honey moon has no idea of what doha is.i can understand wanting to go to dubai for a honeymoon. if you have time, think again of your honeymoon destination, else you will have to follow butterfly's suggestion. but sitting in a hotel room for 2 weeks ........dont know....... you will really have to improvise.

What r you coming to Doha for? If you come here for 'look and see' visit, i suggest you to do some house hunting. Or maybe you can try the dune trip with the tour company and some other sight seeing.
