5,166 cases in three days
Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) emergency units received 2,181 cases on the third day of Eid Al-Fitr yesterday, while 1,822 cases were reported on the second day. The past three days saw 5,166 cases in all at HMC.
254 calls were made to the Ambulance Services.
According to Dr. Ihab Saed, the emergency unit at Hamad General Hospital received 546 cases of injuries and included road accidents. The most widespread complaints were that of gastritis, indigestion, and road mishap injuries.
Dr Muaid Qasim, Head of the emergency Unit at Al Wakra Hospital reported that 509 cases were received, out of which 18 were given internal unit care. Dr Mohammad Al Amiri, Head of the Units at paediatric emergency at HMC stated that 1,126 cases were received yesterday. Al Sharq reports the units in Al Saad, Al Rayan and Al Matar received 311, 91 and 28 cases, respectively.
