Karwa Buses – Protruding Nails

The Karwa buses plying in Doha get regularly inspected on the exterior side for damages as it then possibly becomes the responsibility of the driver who was operating that bus if any is found. However, some checkup should also be done from time to time on the inside of the buses especially the seats.

Recently, I have noticed that on several buses the seat handle covers which are of grey or orange colour, have come off due to usage. That has left the seats with small, sharp nails protruding on the underside of the handles. These nails hurt the hands whenever when holds on to the seats while the bus is in motion.

I will appreciate if the Karwa authorities look into this matter and do the needful.

On the other side passengers need to file their finger nails tips after the weekly cut. Because sharp passengers fingers nail edges are the culprits.

acchabaccha: Sadly Rizks gets 'sea sick" on buses. He prefers his Tuk-Tuk.. However, I'll ask zafirah if she wants to be taken for a ride :O)

Brit: Suggest you park your pink Kia at Rizks' emporium and after enjoying some karak with samosa and imli chutney, take a ride on one of the Karwa buses just to enjoy the trip and get to know how the mass of people travel in Doha. It would cost you only 10 Riyals at the most for a trip to and fro from your point of origin. I am sure Rizks would give you company if you take care of his fare! O)-

These handles are on top of the seats. Many passengers use them to hold onto while the bus is in motion or when its applying the brakes for stoppages.
