Delhi’s women’s minster was recently sacked after a video showing him kissing two women was leaked to the media in the latest scandal involving the Indian capital’s government.

Women’s and Children’s Minister Sandeep Kumar was sacked by the Delhi Chief Minister after the ‘objectionable’ tape was sent to him and television stations.

“We never try to cover up wrongdoings when evidence comes up against our ministers or party workers, unlike other parties,” Chief Minister Arvind Kejrival said while announcing the sacking and referring to his anti-corruption Aam Aadmi Party.

Kumar, a married father of one, said he was a victim of political conspiracy over the tape which shows him on a bed only in his shorts, kissing one of the women. Only snippets of the video were aired on news channels.

As per the latest news, Sandeep Kumar has been arrested when one of the ladies in the video filed a complaint of rape against the minister. However, from this news report it appears Sandeep Kumar may be a victim of dirty politics as the rape is alleged to have taken place several month's back. Why did the woman remain silent for so long?

dingding: If you read Qatar Living regularly, you will see my post carrying both positive and negative stories. Several weeks back I posted something on Donald Trump and the US is farther away than Delhi from Qatar. Recently, I had posted something negative about my own country.

Just keep your eyes open a bit.

If the act was consensual, then it was wrong to sack him. Did the woman in the video complain again the minister. Why should a private matter be used to defame somebody.

What I find fascinating is that he is denying that the video is real ...

It would be better to accept blame , apologise and move on..

Brit: The sacking was proper. A person holding such a responsible position should be a man of principles. If ministers of any government go about carrying out such irresponsible acts, the common man cannot be blamed when they break some rules.

In western countries such people face the axe immediately even if he is holding a high-ranking post in the government or in the armed forces as what happened in a recent case involving a US general.

Read this news over the weekend - The guy was foolish and ruined his career.

Some are questioning the sacking though - If the act was concensual between the three adults, and it is private - then should he be sacked ?
