In recent news regarding the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Qatar has been subject of much criticism concerning issues such as temperature, human rights, and even infrastructure. However, president of FIFA, Sepp Blatter condemned European media for “attacking” Qatar which will host the 2022 World Cup.

He says:

“It is not fair when the international media and especially European media are taking up the focus of an Arab country here in Asia, and attacking, criticising this country".

He also added:

"We are defending it. We have taken the decision to play a World Cup in the Arab world and we have taken the decision to play in Qatar and we will go and play this... in 2022 in Qatar".

AFC president Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim al-Khalifah agreed that media criticism of Qatar had been “too much” and he backed the state to hold one of the most successful World Cups.

Thoughts?

Qatar will spend 100 billion putting on a show. It will be a success. Booze will be freely available. Good time will be had. Then the circus will move on and Qatar will wonder where to go next

Ah, so he has been paid off again by Qatar to support his own corrupt initial decision. FIFA corruption?

Hopefully we can see Blatter himself playing out here and soon. I heard he was a good goal keeper and very good at catching the ball
