29th July 2013 – A Canadian owned ad-agency, IdeaJunction, with a local branch in UAE has announced their new venture, an online Qur’an Streaming website www.wordofAllah.com which offers verse-by-verse Qur’an Streaming with beautiful recitation, Ramadan Radio section and Islamic Supplications.
The inspiration to start the Live Qur’an Streaming project originated from the saying of Prophet Muhammad, the last Messenger of Allah that says “Ballighu 'Anni walau Ayah" which means “Even if you know a good word from me, preach it”. This inspiration turned into a creative concept to present verse-by-verse recitation with translation of Holy Qur’an.
The Launching time for wordofAllah.com is intentionally chosen as the last ten days of Ramadan because the Holy Qur’an was sent down on ‘Night of Decree’ which is hidden in the last ten days of Ramadan. The site is a gift of Ramadan to the whole world, so that they can read and listen to Holy Qur’an and understand the message of Allah that is sent for Mankind regardless of race, religion or color.
The website has recitation in the beautiful voice of the world famous reciter Sheikh Mishary Rashid Alafasy. Listening to the recitation coupled with the Arabic text and English translation is a worthy spiritual experience. English language is used for translation because of its understanding and acceptance all around the globe.
Several Non-Muslims shared the fact that they heard the Islamic call for prayer or recitation of Holy Qur’an and it touched their hearts and aroused the feelings of peace and tranquility but later if they want to hear it and experience the same feelings it’s not easily possible but now WordofAllah.com will serve the purpose and provide them with a very simple and interactive platform to listen to Holy Qur’an.
The site will also help in spreading general awareness about Islam. By reading Qur’an, a lot of misconceptions about Islam that are spread in the world through the anti-Islamic media propaganda will be clarified. This will give the world an opportunity to understand the real message of Islam and will help in rebuilding the real and peaceful perception of Islam.
Keeping the ongoing month of Ramadan in view, a section called “Ramadan Radio” has been added to the site which has a non-stop 24x7 transmission with randomly selected recitations from Holy Qur’an in the voice of world famous reciters from Mecca. It gives a chance to hear their beautiful voices reciting God’s word which helps one’s heart to find peace. Beside all these, a “Duaa” section, which consists of important Islamic supplications, is added which helps in strengthening bonds with Allah and warding off His anger.
Human kind takes nothing to the afterlife but his deeds and actions, which will be judged on the day of resurrection when Allah, our Creator will resurrect us. Thus, Holy Qur'an – the Word of Allah and the book of guidance guides us to enjoin good and forbid evil while clarifying the misconceptions about God.
A Facebook page namely “wordofAllah.com” has also been introduced where visual representations of real life problems with their solutions from the Holy Qur’an are provided, because Holy Qur'an has lessons about true divine justice, peace, human rights, science and divine laws that has potential to bring peace, unity and harmony in life.
While designing the website, a lot of efforts have been made to give the site a beautiful look and keep the interface simple. While playing the Ramadan Radio one can see the images of various beautiful mosques. The site provides continuous live streaming of Holy Qur’an with flexibility to choose any Chapter and verse from Holy Qur’an to play.
The website is completely compatible and easily accessible from all kinds of devices including desktop computers, smart phones and tablet devices which are essential ways of learning with ability to use them anytime. The interface and sound quality both are optimized to work properly on all the above mentioned devices. The site supports both Flash and html5 and can be played with either of them. Since it works on all devices it can easily be accessed from anywhere be it office or home or anywhere else.
