IBQ Sponsors Masters Cricket Tournament for 9th Consecutive Year

International Bank of Qatar is sponsoring the Master Cricket Tournament for the 9th year running, and this year’s edition brought together 32 teams.

The teams are split into two divisions, each division comprising of 4 pools represented by 4 teams. The teams will play on a straight league basis with the top 2 teams from each pool going into the Quarter-Finals.

To date, the match results showed IBQ losing to QVC in their opening encounter by 64 runs, QAPCO defeated Lovely Littles by 25 runs, QAFCO defeated CDC by 51 runs, and Jaidah Motors defeated Al Jazeera media network by 101 runs.

The event kick-started on Friday January 10th in the Doha West Bay Cricket Complex in the presence of hundreds of fans.

The tournament will culminate with a grand finale on 21st February, 2014 with the winning champion walking off with the Champion’s trophy and individual prizes for the 15 team players.
