Huawei launches regional campaign with LIGA BBVA

Huawei, the leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, has launched a regional campaign aimed at rewarding football fans with the opportunity to see their favorite team live in Spain as part of its new global partnership with the official football league, Liga de Futbol Profesional (LFP).
This campaign, which launches from all major retail channels on March 25th, will offer fans across the UAE the chance to win a grand prize of a trip to Spain to watch an LFP football game with each purchase of a Huawei smartphone.
Consumers will then be directed to compete in a Facebook Football game application as part of Huawei’s fun and interactive competition in order to become the lucky country winner.
The campaign comes after Huawei announced it had signed a contract with Liga De Fútbol Profesional (LFP) in December 2013, which saw the company become LFP’s official global technology partner.
The GCC wide competition to send lucky football fans to Spain is part of Huawei’s overall sports marketing campaigns to align itself closer to football.
"Huawei’s football fan engagement campaign is a creative and innovative way to reach out to fanbase in the Middle East, through its technology. Many people in the region are fierce supporters of teams in the LIGA BBVA and we are delighted to be part of a competition that will send a group of lucky winners to enjoy one of our matches in Spain," said Fernando Sanz, LFP's General Director for the MENA region.
