INTRODUCTION
1. Quality Management is a method for ensuring that all the activities necessary to design,
develop and implement a product or service are effective and efficient. All to often,
quality is viewed as simplistic with the simple attitude of putting some quality standards
in place and assign people to make sure they’re observed. This is the wrong attitude, as
quality, in any aspect of business, should be considered critically important.

2 All those in an organization whose jobs or roles demand involvement in production,
service or interfacing with the public;
3. This course is also meant for all supervisors and managers who are responsible for
ensuring that standards and procedures across the organization are not only at par with
internationally accepted standards but also that proper and authentic quality assurance,
quality control, and quality resource planning measures are in place.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
4. The major objectives are:
a. To develop an understanding of the relationship amongst quality planning,
quality assurance, quality control and quality resource planning;
b. To develop working knowledge of the tools and techniques used to monitor and
improve quality;
c. To develop an in-depth perception of the responsibilities of senior managers,
project managers and team members to ensure existence and compliance of
adequate quality management processes.
