CGC wins traffic surveillance contract in India's IT Hub
Consolidated Gulf Company (CGC), Qatar's leading technology and engineering solutions provider, has won a multi-million riyal contract in India to provide traffic surveillance solutions. CGC's fully owned subsidiary in India, CGC Converse Technologies will supply and install the cutting edge surveillance solutions which would be linked toa centralized traffic management center covering all the major hubs in Bengaluru, the capital of the southern state of Karnataka. The rising population in the metropolis has led to an increase in the vehicular population to about 1.5million, with an annual growth rate of 7 to 10 per cent. Surveillance solution implemented by CGC will help Bangalore Traffic Department in real-time traffic monitoring which in turn will aid in safeguarding the general public by allowing authorities to deploy emergency response units more efficiently and effectively.
