What Purpose did Trump's Naked Statue Serve?

There are not too many out there who are fans of Donald Trump. Many have been disgusted from his regular derogatory comments. He wears his open hatred towards Muslims on his sleeves as a symbol of pride. Donald Trump has made fun of people with special needs. He has gone to the extent of belittling soldiers who sacrificed their lives for his country. Calling him additional names would actually be complimentary to all the names he already deserves.

However, a recent incident when a nude statue without testicles of the Republican presidential nominee was placed at New York’s Union Square that needs to be looked at from a broader perspective. The statue was taken down after it caused quite a stir. The statue was simultaneously unveiled at four other cities: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Cleveland and Seattle.

An anarchist group INDECLINE erected the statue and titled it “The Emperor has no B****.” Many people laughed, poked fun, passed obscene comments on parts of Trump’s anatomy.

Now let’s flip this a bit. What if this had been done to a woman? What if they had made a naked statue of a woman deliberately making her look old and wrinkly? What if they had done this to Hillary Clinton?

The world would have erupted in anger.

Yes, had it been a woman, the artist may have been looking for a job right now.

What is wrong to a woman in this regard, should be wrong to a man too, shouldn’t it? If they chose to shame him in this way, it means they had nothing intelligent to say to debunk Donald Trump.

For Trump, this act may possibly have won him sympathy of his supporters.  Possibly the act may be carrying a message that people are so desperate to see him go, they have resorted to body shaming.
