Why most of the European women are not properly dressing? Are they feeling some sort of satisfaction to express themselves? It is also imitated by Asians nowadays..
Only for your comments pls..
I think that you mean dressed like naked(some of their bodey is dressed but the most parts are not dressed) , I saw maney of them wearing enough and covering even their faces. They are better than some Arabs who ware tight pants and stretch clothes (even skin color) while covering their hair claiming they are wearing hijab. ! I think that they look like naked dipped in colors!
Who is this old man Ahmad deedat? Doesn't really matter I don't like his tone at all! I don't like the way he talks. He is insulting so many people!Disgusting! And what pathetic examples!

The basic idea of an abaya is to hide your body from an outsider gaze. Hence an abaya is not required indoors. Secondly, the use of abaya is basically to hide your body from revealing its curves to a person who is not your blood relation. Therefore, it becomes acceptable to wear tight jeans or tops under a proper abaya coz no one knows whats worn inside (and no once cares to look at you). Also most abaya wearing women buy these erotic dresses displayed in showrooms for their husbands at home. I too was jaw dropped when i noticed the kinky dresses aplenty in the malls and almost everywhere. But the idea is to wear it indoors to seduce one's husbands and not instead to show off one's "assets" openly.
Amoud i get what u're saying but perhaps u should make a distinction between the whole underwear thing (hey look at the language - underwear should be used in exactly the same way as the english words suggest they should be -wear them under things) and the outer garments. I still think that if qataris want people to dress modestly (and considering the culture and social norms here then it's perfectly reasonable to expect people to dress modeslty) well then they could at least take that into the shops.
anwar: are you serious?? do you really want to see western women raped?? where are you from?? are you a muslim? do you have sisters? or a mom?? I don't know if you're the only one that thinks like that or there are many people like you at qatar..hope not..i'll be a shame
I think I'll better stay here in my third world country
Perhaps the answer is to make them sign a "Non Exposure agreement at their landing at Doha airport. This can then be used to prosecute them when they show their bumpy bits in public..

The Lebanese are both western and eastern. When they speak french or speak english in a french accent, they are european. When they are speaking in arabic with arabic counterparts they are eastern.
I really have no complaints against my boss.. I was a bit upset at first but now been wearing it for the last 2 weeks.. I feel great.. I wear jeans or skirts beneath with a stylish halter neck or sleevless blouse which I would never even dream of wearing otherwise but since it is beneath the abaya, I can dress as slutty as possible and no one knows except me.. WOW.. Feels amazing.
I agree Gyspy, I also hate the stereotype that all western women are skanks because thats what they see in movies.
Really.... can any arab tell me their lives are exactly like an egyptian movie? How about Indians? Do they all break into song and dance in the middle of a traffic jam because they are professing love for some girl and all the spectators join in.
My religion says I must walk around nude. Do you think Qatar will let me do it?
Actually I'm just being whiney and petulant, I actually dress pretty conservatively by most standards no matter where I am, and I HATE the sterotype that Western women dress like skanks, when it's quite obvious that it's the Lebanese women doing it. :P
Different country, different rules.... we do have similar rules and mores in Canada Gypsy, and it is a bit different having more on than less, and it comes down to freedom to practise your religion, not just for good fashion sense.
Hmm, Gypsy, thats the cop out I am talking about. Wearing it is a choice, there is an option although you may not like it. A small lacy camisole under a blouse to cover up a cleavage bun would hardly ruin it, it isnt a massive cardigan :)
If skirts are too short, wear pants. _____________________________________________________
"Diplomacy is the art of saying 'Nice doggie' until you can find a rock - Will Rogers"
Hmm, Gypsy if the top is too low but, try a camisole underneath? As for skirts and dresses I have never had any issue with finding something below the knee, and if it is a wee bit too short, team it with a cute pair of leggins....
I cant really say that people are dressing this way because of not being able to find anything suitable.
A problem I've pointed out before Amoud is that it's becoming increasingly difficult to find stylish clothes in the shops that aren't revealing. I try to find a nice blouse to wear under a suit jacket and it's hard to find one that doesn't reveal a ton of cleavage. All the dresses are above knee length- etc.
Journalist .... this came up before and just because it is in the shops doesnt mean it has to be worn in public as there is a time and place for everything.
As you said, common sense tells you just because there is lingerie in the shops it doesnt mean you have to wear it for the morning school run :)
Well let's put it this way - there is no law saying that a woman has to wear an aabaya. My point on this is - and I am by no means criticising the attitude that people in general have to dress in a modest way when they are in this culture, it's not that that i find so curious. My only point just is, seeing as people aren't forced to wear aabaya then why should there be so many complaints when people don't but feel free to wear what's available in teh shops? Fortunately i don't wear all these revealing items, but i just think that logic and common sense should really be use here...if people remember what those two items even are!
"my boos told me to"?? gosh... i am glad I work for an international company. thats the kind of attitude that if we did to a muslin in our country they would make a big song and dance...
Guess you are only wear an abaya out of force.. What a shame...lol
Well I guess it must be something that local guys are able to spot on women in abaya compared to the ones without.. Have you found out about the secrets? Please do share you experince with us. Kareena it is really interesting.
It reminds me of Asian (muslim) girls back in UK, especially during college and University days.. I used to see girls that would wear all those tight jeans and the other western clothes outside of the house etc.. but as soon as they got got home they had to change into Shalwar Kameez.
I can see some similarities here only that it is opposite...lol
Personally I wish my boss would force me to wear an abaya. LOL. I wore one to the Museum of Islamic Art opening and I felt so gorgeous. However, since I'm neither Qatari or Muslim and very very white I would never be able to wear one normally without attracting the wrong sort of attention. Which means I'm stuck trying to figure out how to wear all the slutty clothes you buy here in a non-slutty way.
spot on gypsy. if im in villagio and see a blond woman who is dressed up to the nines, i know immediately what's her nationality. and yes, she's not from any of th country in europe:)
Of course Lebanese girls don't have freckles, you can't seem them through all the make-up they wear, As for cellulite, no problem when you get lipo suction everyother week. As for flip flops? Better then leopard print hooker boots.
Well journalishgirl... These revealing dresses that you see at Mango, Next, Zara, H&M etc are meant only for Qatari women to wear it beneath their abayas.. I know now since I work with a local gov company.. I have seen in the ladies washroom when they take off their abayas to go to the loo what they wear inside..
Secondly.. I started to wear abaya at work.. My boss told me to and frankly I found it difficult at first but now getting used to it.. I can wear whatever I want underneath or maybe nothing at all.. LOL.. I don't have to decide every night what to wear or rummage my closet and iron clothes and look for matching earings.. I just grab a pair of jeans or a long skirt and wear a halter neck, sleevless or tank top.. Then don the abaya plus loads of makeup.. Matching bag and shoes.. And I am all set.. But there is one drawback though.. I went in this attire to Royal plaza last week after work.. Gosh.. The worst experience of my life.. I was chased by so many men.. I have never experienced this kind of harrasment when I dress up in my nationl dress shalwar kameez.. But that day in abaya and shela.. I was followed by dozens of men and some even gave me their mobile numbers in Arabic.. One guy sent me a note thru the waiter at the coffee shop.. From that day onwards, I have decided to keep the abayas only for work to please my boss but outside and other public places.. NO WAY
You should put lady in abaya to be decent enough. Maybe only eyes could be seen. But according to friends in KSA it is offered to close one of the eyes too. :)
Nobody cares whether you stick to it or glued! It is an opinion, when your act becomes a nuisance in a forum like this, you will definitely be asked to keep your mum shut! That applies to all your arrogant comments which are personal and taunting addressing to a country!
Moreover regarding your question moderator is Indian or not, is irrelvant, mannerless people like you will be bashed anywhere and everywhere!
As a European, I just wanted to say I think the indian ladies look fabulous. Loads of flowing material in bright colours. Very elegant. I think the west should be taking their lead from the indians/asians.
Perhaps they arent covering up because they find it hot here, who knows lol.
Agree with Gypsy, the arab ladies here got the westerners beat hands down. A majority of what you see here (that are in bad taste, not all so dont jump on me for that technicality) either look like an advert for an 1-900 number or transvestites.
the reason why Western women don't cover up over here in Qatar is because they don't think they have to. The reason they don't cover up in the West, is they don't HAVE too.
I was ashamed as they were from I think, England and wearing the most disrespectful clothes in an Islamic country. Also they looked as common as muck. They looked liked thugs.
dont behave like your id, because it is a fact known universally that the one who shows off has got nothing in real! those have or possess anything valuable will automatically be admired by others so they need not show off! Stop blowing your triumphets indirectly, here nobody is going to crown you for your looks or the way you dress!
so dressing is everybody's personal interest and choice you please refrain from commenting as to who should wear what!
Why is the author of this Thread looking for an illegal decorder to watch all the dodgy Channels. why does he need the aid of the European channels...?
it's ok to wear sexy dress, but for those who don't have something to show off, please don't even think of wearing short shorts or sleeveless, i'm having NIGHTMARES...have mercy :))
Everyone has a View Guys.. Some Like it & Some don't like it.. Those of you who like it make use of your eyes in a harmless way, and those of you who don't like it close your eyes and move away.. It hurts no one..
I have lived in Thailand, seen the best of best and worst of worst.. Its a matter of choice.. Lets not impose our narrow / broad minded views.. I don't understand why most of us don't wait to start a culture war.. I believe the author of this post had a personal view point, for some its good and for some its bad.. Anyway PEACE !!!
I too have been shocked by some of the 'sights' I have seen here. Not from a religious point of view, although I do think local traditions should be respected.
Was once in Villagio in Pauls Cafe and I saw a group walking towards Boots the Chemist. I think they were, I am ashmaed to say British. The women had shorts and halter neck tops on, they were at best 4 stone overweight and EVERYTHING was hanging out. They had tatoos and just looked awful and the blokes looked like they had just come from kicking somebodys head in at a football match. I was ashamed for them.
In any part of the world they would have looked AWFUL but it seemed worse because after all this is an Islamic country were local tradition dictates all people are demure in dress.
Indians chick bare bellies is cute. But 60-70 years old grandma with bellies that hanging 5 inc and bare that something els. This is Indians grandma I'm talking about.
Mind your words! The way of dressing or the style in your language if not followed that does not mean that it is not good! It is an individual choice. I have met people from different parts of the world, who are trend setters and dont follow what is called "today's fashion"
Do not relate your personal comments generalising a country and its women!
Moderators please note (my reply - below he asked for it)
In that case my reply can be, with your people, you dont have any style or individuality, all you picked up is from other countries!!! ( for example you cannot call yourself an American just because you copied everything from there)
At least, rest of the countries in the world have their identity in some or the other way because they have a culture of their own including the underdeveloped countries!! can you say the same thing about you, what way you are identified?
Noypi, I did not mean to taunt you or generalise your country like the way you did (I respect every part of this world and their citizens irrespective of what they are) My statement is to show you your back that dont pass personal nasty comments generalising a country and its citizens!! People can say so many things in reply exactly in your own tone!!
I will honestly say that if I see Western or Asian woman in shorts and such I do initially look because I am not used to seeing it in the mall here. I look even more when I see ladies in abayas in 10 tonnes of makeup, half their stuff hanging out etc. I also look at women who are wearing hijab and little else is left to the imagination.
I guess my point is.... Western women dress for who they are, and in no way are they being hypocritical. The purpose of the abaya is to cover it all up is it not? I tell you, I revealed less when I was uncovered (yes, dressing like a western tart) than half the woman in Qatar do in abaya.
....and makeup shouldnt have to be like stucco, and I dont want to see a womans love handles in sari.
Did I cover it all? Have I insulted everyone yet :)____________________________________________________

Western ladies are being imitated by their Eastern counterparts , thus leading to corruption of the culture. It must be stopped forthwith.. If not Fifthwith..
If someone wants to follow their style that means, that's okay.... but i'm sure no one w'll follow what you're women is wearing....(sorry for ur ladies..)
I find it kind of amusing how ajinasma seems to associate being European with improper dress. Now I don't know about this dude, but that is a massive overgeneralisation. There are plenty of europeans who wear decent clothing. I am not denying that Europeans do sometimes wear revealing clothing, but that's missing the point. I have noticed whenever i have been out and about in Doha that some girls wearing hijab (I underline the some part of this sentence as obviously not all hijabies are like this) but wearing skin tight clothing ... so tell me, does the hijab somehow make tight clothing respectable? AM I missing a valuable point here? To me a hijabie wearing tight clothing is as indecent as a european wearing tight clothing - there is no difference apart from what's on the head.
So, the general issue is, quit it with the overgeneralisations here, becuase, in my humble view anyway (others will disagree and that's fine), if u really stare at the situation as it is, these hijabed girls wear tight clothes becuase they think htey look good - and their own culture/heritage/religion doesn't really seem to affect their choice in clothing too much.
Maybe i have got the wrong end of the stick here, it just seems odd and really trifling to lump all the "blame" onto a whole region of the world.
I have a question that I have always found curious - there is this long debate both obviously here on QL and from a couple of articles I've noticed in the newspapers about this whole decency issue, and how locals feel that foreginers should dress more sensitively towards the local culture. I don't think anyone here on QL would have a problem with this point of view (and it's a point of view just as much as people have the choice to wear what they want). The thing i find curious is in that case, if people are concerned by the decency of clothing, how come boob tubes, micro minis and tight revealing clothing is so easily available in the shops here? Go into mango or H&M, and u will easily find these items of clothing at prices a lot of people could afford. So if there are major issues with "indecent" dressing (and that very much depends on however the individual chooses to define that term), why are they so easily available in the country?
It's just something i have noticed, and I am not bringing it up to sound judgemental at all. But I think that considering that there is no law or regulation stating that all women have to wear the aabaya, and these items are so easily available, then there should either be acceptance of the women who chose to wear clothing they find available in shops, or the clothing shouldn't be imported. Of course women are going to think that it's acceptable to wear "revealing" clothing in public if they can easily reach out to buy it. I don't know how u guys feel on this point (I'm probably talking complete bollocks anyway :-P)
what people decide to wear is their choice, it isn't anybody's business that is the point.. now if you see someone wearing revealing clothes, it's her choice, if she gets caught by the police, then it's her problem it's got nothing to do with you so leave the women and their clothes alone ... :/
I don't know whether you heard or not but I heard that in Saudi Arabia ulema (or whatever they call it the man making decisions about religion)claimed that when the 2 eyes of a lady is shown its attracting men in a sexual way. And he offered to make a rule and close one of the eyes and keep only one opened. I don't know what to say if really there is a mind can be attracted sexually by just seeing two eyes. He must look at himself and think whether he is psycho/sick or sth like that. About this topic you are not the one to decide what is proper dressing.
Absolutely Shreeya, may be your illustrations opens the eyes of the people who are just being personal and passing indecent comments targeting a country as a whole.
Quite right Laksha 65, decency should be the key. Here I share two incidents which I have witnessed myself.
On a Friday, in Carrefour this lady was standing in a queue. She was wearing some cross strings sliveless top (don't care what it is actually called). Her top was so open that 80% of her 'material' was just popping out literally. Everybody, and I mean it, everybody was watching her, directly or indirectly. Guys you can just imagine, wearing such clothes in a Fridays rush. After some time I spotted her again on maltiplex floor (no, I was not following her...she seems to be everywhere that day....lol) in a Q for lift. I was standing first in a q followed by a thobbed family of 3 followed by our super model. The lift can accomodate 6 people I know but the thobbed man behind me said her husband / non husband, "you don't come, lift full".
This incident happened on corniche. Last week when we were taking our regular walk I saw this couple, both in ultra short running pants and ultra open T 's. They were running with their hands on each others waist (god only knows, as how were they able to run in this possition). Suddenly they stopped for a moment and exchanged a passionate hug and kiss. Where was their so called commonsense?
I really don't give a shyte to the way people dress or behave. It's not my business anyways. My sister who was once in Norway told me that in their so called summer you can even see topless wonders on the street. But then again it is in Norway.
One should observe some level of decency irrespective of nationality, I think.
Life is never boring, but some people choose to be bored.... Boredom is a choice. - Wayne W.
Your comment is too personal and humiliating towards a country women. Beacuse you are an aspiring pornstar you dont understand the value and importance of covering the body with clothes of choice and a term called decently dressed
Why dont we return the question to ajinasma1 regarding the dress style of indian male? Why do most indian guys still wearing 1960's style? I need comment please.....
answer: hmmmm, thousand island? no? how about, french dressing? italian?
whatever, i found europeans to be so casuallly chic, i want to imitate them. unlike other expats here who so overdressed that you'd think you are in vegas...wateve!
... Besides, how can you tell a European? They might be American, Canadian, Australian, Kiwi, Russian (the bit that still ain't in Europe) or Even from the Falklands where men are men and sheep are nervous!
Perhaps these people think that they can dress the way they do back home because when the local people here travel and visit the european counties they dress how they do in their country.
If people want people to all dress the way the locals do, perhaps the locals should do the same when they visit other countries? I understand they have religious beliefs and traditions etc but 'european people' have grown up dressing the way they do so unless told otherwise they will continue to do so.
As long as they are not showing too much flesh or being rude i dont see the issue. If they want expats to come here to help build the economy perhaps they should be a bit more understanding?
einstind - look at the original post ... "It is also imitated by Asians nowadays.."
The original poster is an Indian trying to put a slur on European ladies, so why can't I redress the balance? Unless of course you feel that India is no longer part of Asia????
What do you percieve my intentions to be?
BTW, even Jackmohan who posted just after me saw the humour in the thread and he's and Indian dude. Light up!
it is very wrong on your part to comment on a totally personal issue by quoting a country (european......) Dressing is one's personal choice and freedom.
Man or a woman, both have their own likes and dislikes on various issues and dressing is one such. You cannot question that and post it in public like this.
Moreover, you have mentioned that "asians are imitating! by the way who asked them to imitate or did anybody forced them! When we step out of the house, we see good and bad both, as a person, we should have a strong head above our shoulder to analyse what is right and what is wrong, and follow that.
Cant blame others if one takes a wrong path on his own. if you dont like them, you should stay away from these, but should not question or oppose. Everybody is responsible for his or her own action. Country, people, group or community has got nothing to do in these personal issues of interst.
i answered your question leia.. but let me tell you.. with the profession you are going to choose you will need to be a bit more patient.. we have enough inpatient, unprofessional and useless flight attendants in here..no need for another one..

Dear ajinasma1... I really wish I could answer you sincerely and honestly.
But seeing you are such a pure, flawless, kind hearted person... I will keep my reply to myself.
Maybe I should stay away from my european friends and get together with all this super friendly, warm hearted locals who can dress so well..........
By the way, if Europeans are such bad people, how come so many of "the good local people" are flooding Europe???? Why not just stay home where everyone is so good, kind and wear such respectfull outfits?
I haven´t arrived yet to Qatar, but I´ve got a funny/stupid question for you all. Are there any women taking the sun of any given beach in Qatar? This might sound stupid to some of you...but truly...I have no idea what to expect in many aspects when arriving to Doha.

I know. It's annoying though. In Canada we don't stop women from wearing niqab, so why do we have to dress a certain way here?
Hmm, Gypsy, thats the cop out I am talking about. Wearing it is a choice, there is an option although you may not like it. A small lacy camisole under a blouse to cover up a cleavage bun would hardly ruin it, it isnt a massive cardigan :)

"Diplomacy is the art of saying 'Nice doggie' until you can find a rock - Will Rogers"
You are right valleyofdevils..
Thats the way you look.
I differ and gave an answer that this post of Hisahi deserved according to me
duh...
I'm the oposite.. I wear normal clothes at work and then don the Abaya for nightly soires..
"my boos told me to"?? gosh... i am glad I work for an international company. thats the kind of attitude that if we did to a muslin in our country they would make a big song and dance...
thank god for being a foreign company!!!
Dear all,
Qatar is an Islamic state as all u know
so, dress modestly to respect the culture of Islamic states
If anyone wants to go against the Islamic culture then do it at your homes. so, that no one will question about it
its not about individuals choice
its about respecting the culture of the state where v r.
The way u dress the way one will look at u
Guess you are only wear an abaya out of force.. What a shame...lol
Well I guess it must be something that local guys are able to spot on women in abaya compared to the ones without.. Have you found out about the secrets? Please do share you experince with us. Kareena it is really interesting.
It reminds me of Asian (muslim) girls back in UK, especially during college and University days.. I used to see girls that would wear all those tight jeans and the other western clothes outside of the house etc.. but as soon as they got got home they had to change into Shalwar Kameez.
I can see some similarities here only that it is opposite...lol

HE WHO DARES WINS
Personally I wish my boss would force me to wear an abaya. LOL. I wore one to the Museum of Islamic Art opening and I felt so gorgeous. However, since I'm neither Qatari or Muslim and very very white I would never be able to wear one normally without attracting the wrong sort of attention. Which means I'm stuck trying to figure out how to wear all the slutty clothes you buy here in a non-slutty way.
My boss forced me.. I had to.. Had no choice.. Either I don the abaya or I lose the job..
spot on gypsy. if im in villagio and see a blond woman who is dressed up to the nines, i know immediately what's her nationality. and yes, she's not from any of th country in europe:)
Et Tu Gypsy ? Et Tu ?
Kareena: I recall a few months ago, you were against wearing an abaya.. What has changed ?
Of course Lebanese girls don't have freckles, you can't seem them through all the make-up they wear, As for cellulite, no problem when you get lipo suction everyother week. As for flip flops? Better then leopard print hooker boots.
modest clothing in public places for all and respect the law of the land.
Too much show off of dresses, make-up, matching bags and Shoes at malls is a general phenomenon everywhere. It is ok as far as within certain limits.
NO WAY
wow....outburst?!?!?
did i say sorry enough?..jeessssh...
i smell PMS....

unlike the American and European women with their cellulite thighs, flip flops, and freckles all over.
...Avada Kedavra..
True, we wear colourfull dresses. But the amount of clothes we wear become unconvinient at times. Like the 3 mtr chunni and pallu of Saree.
I really like the comfort and convinience of European style.

You should put lady in abaya to be decent enough. Maybe only eyes could be seen. But according to friends in KSA it is offered to close one of the eyes too. :)
"What doesn't kill me; makes me stronger..."
laksh, cut it out. you're just fanning the fire.
So be careful!
As a European, I just wanted to say I think the indian ladies look fabulous. Loads of flowing material in bright colours. Very elegant. I think the west should be taking their lead from the indians/asians.
gypsy, that's the problem with imitation. you can imitate all you want but can never get it right.:)
sorry for the harsh comments, but i'll stick to it...
mod, are you indian?...(",)
sorry again....

Then they should try harder, cause the french have style.
Perhaps they arent covering up because they find it hot here, who knows lol.
Agree with Gypsy, the arab ladies here got the westerners beat hands down. A majority of what you see here (that are in bad taste, not all so dont jump on me for that technicality) either look like an advert for an 1-900 number or transvestites.

no gypsy, but they are french- wanna bes.:)
SO are the Lebanese western then? Because it seems to me that they were the least clothes.
Ok then, tell me why you don't agree.
Western women do not have to cover up at all, we can wear what the hell we like, when we like.
We come over here and some of us recognise this is an Islamic country so really we should cover up.
Some people are THAT stupid they do not! They think it is like Spain or France and they are on holiday and they do not cover up.
That was my point.
LOL
"Everything in this book may be wrong." Illusions: The Adventures of The Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach
So you know then. That is OK.
the reason why Western women don't cover up over here in Qatar is because they don't think they have to. The reason they don't cover up in the West, is they don't HAVE too.
Actually I got this reply to my post, when I said that 'everybody was looking at her' in it.
Don't mind please.
Life is never boring, but some people choose to be bored.... Boredom is a choice. - Wayne W.
Thanks for your comments..It was not to hurt anybody...
I hope this is the end of this thread...
I was ashamed as they were from I think, England and wearing the most disrespectful clothes in an Islamic country. Also they looked as common as muck. They looked liked thugs.
They would have ashamed me anywhere.
dont behave like your id, because it is a fact known universally that the one who shows off has got nothing in real! those have or possess anything valuable will automatically be admired by others so they need not show off!

Now now, somebody may ask you "So, if she/they doesn't mind being stared at, where's the problem, why are you ashamed?"....LOL
Life is never boring, but some people choose to be bored.... Boredom is a choice. - Wayne W.
Badluck....lol

Indians chick bare bellies is cute. But 60-70 years old grandma with bellies that hanging 5 inc and bare that something els. This is Indians grandma I'm talking about.
Norway...uumm...Nice discussion ...keep it up..lol
laksh,"copied" is not the right word. although, foreigners may see it that way, but its too simplistic. assimilated perhaps, never copied.
anyways, i agree that to each his own. i just dont know why people posted stupid posts.
"Diplomacy is the art of saying 'Nice doggie' until you can find a rock - Will Rogers"
Western ladies are being imitated by their Eastern counterparts , thus leading to corruption of the culture. It must be stopped forthwith.. If not Fifthwith..
"is also imitated by Asians nowadays"
No worries, I'd really love an actual answer, because wearing an abaya is not an option for me.
Ah Sorry Gypsy, obviously my bad for not reading u're posts well enough.
I've pointed out the same thing journalistgirl, and all I get is that those clothes are meant to be worn under an abaya.

Wow! I spent 2 years in Norway and never saw a single "topless wonder" :o(
So, if she doesn't mind being stared at, where's the problem?
Maybe its their Tailors...
Absolutely Shreeya, may be your illustrations opens the eyes of the people who are just being personal and passing indecent comments targeting a country as a whole.
In fact, since long I am expecting the thread from that Carrefour woman on how arrogant the 'thobbed' ones are...lol
Life is never boring, but some people choose to be bored.... Boredom is a choice. - Wayne W.
- Wayne W.
Hisahi...You r getting too personal.Who are u to say that we wear dresses like we are in a parade or something.
We have a tradition of our own and yes Salwars and Kurthas are our dress.
You cannot expect us to copy the westeners dress. This is our dress and we will stick to it.We are much decently dressed than many others.
If you want to give back the poster give it to him do not comment on the entire nation.
Your comment is too personal and humiliating towards a country women. Beacuse you are an aspiring pornstar you dont understand the value and importance of covering the body with clothes of choice and a term called decently dressed
the poster is gay and he envys all those girls because he doesnt get enough attention from guys walking around.
get a life you bull poser
You get arab girls wearing tight gowns/burkha around there waist/boobs clattering along in massive high stilleto heels so whats the problem ;)
hahahha too true!!!
geez he hasn't even come back to the thread he started.. somebody must've shot him for creating this.. :P
Why dont we return the question to ajinasma1 regarding the dress style of indian male? Why do most indian guys still wearing 1960's style? I need comment please.....
[mod note: Please show some respect or you'll be banned]
and you should be dressing like them too...
question:what's proper dressing for europoean?
answer: hmmmm, thousand island? no? how about, french dressing? italian?
whatever, i found europeans to be so casuallly chic, i want to imitate them. unlike other expats here who so overdressed that you'd think you are in vegas...wateve!
I agree!!!
Good news. One more fundamentalist out of India. This guy talks about morality, integrity blabla.

einstind - look at the original post ...
Country, people, group or community has got nothing to do in these personal issues of interst.
western woman and Heath Ledger...
Why on earth do u talk about Indian chicks here when the qn is about European ladies?
It clearly shows your intention.

Thats too revealing...I guess..
If anyone dresses improperly in your opinion just don't LOOK and mind your own business, that is if u have any other business to mind...

Well, guess I´ll soon find out. Thanks for the advice!

:P
Wondering around...
European women are dressing like shameless hussies and causing discod within society. They should be severly punished, preferably in a public place.
Sounds like you're trying to start one of those "oh i don't like them cause they are different" threads.
Please specify proper dressing before we comment...
Properly dressed for what Glorious Occassion?
huh! ova here? wow! dint know that!
What would you define as properly dressed?
Most?!?! based on which wide sweeping survey?
Or are you talking about European women in Europe where they are free to dress however the heck they feel like?
