What is the purpose of heaven?

What is the point?
What is in it for the ones that get there?
Let's leave the purpose of hell for another thread.
I invite you to ponder.
You can quote scripture or Sura's etc if you want but you must expand upon them with your own thoughts.

I think many people find the idea of nothingness and death scarey so they create something to make themselves feel better.

the reverse is also true,

many do evil acts to secure their place in heaven if so decreed by their religious leaders.

Sorry am not religius person but from my point of view, Heaven is in this world not after dead thing, you can find heaven when you help other people, love other people and do goodness to other people. Easy example, when you smile to someone and the person smile back at you thats heaven alright to me. call me crazy I dont care.

Everybody is right everybody is wrong, it depend where you stand

'speaking of souls it is the kind of gaseous form that consist our body'

So you have seen a soul then zambo?

it should read:

'nonreligous do good things for the sake of goodness.'

"and they dont have the criteria for the good and not good.. and how good is the good and how bad is the bad!"

Sorry zambo but that is nonsense

Is this the criteria you were referring to?

Genesis 6:13

"And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth."

There's a lot of violence in the world these days. God knew, though, that the best way to end violence is to kill every living thing.

"Deaths in the Bible. God - 2,270,365

not including the victims of Noah's flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, or the

many plagues, famines, fiery serpents, etc because no specific numbers

were given. Satan - 10."

and beyond what we can see or percieved about heaven are more and amazing....religious speaking within that heaven lies the paradise and hell...heaven is the abode of souls it where our souls reside.

speaking of souls it is the kind of gaseous form that consist our body...see our body contains liquid, solid and gas as well these are forms of matter.

we can still be good people and not believe. You do not have to be religious to be a good person.

when we say heaven it encompasses many meanings for some it means the paradise,to others is what everything beyond the sky while for others is simply the feeling of being in a pleasantextraordinary condition. and these are my own understanding not taken from any books.

I think for people who believe in religion; it is a way to make death accecptable. As in, 'you are going to a better place'.

It can also be used to control people, 'as in you won't go to Heaven if you do that'.

For me, when you die you are dead and that is it.

My thoughts are my own, but I doubt my Mum would agree with some of them.
