Underneath the Garthra
I am one month here in Doha and I am just wondering, what do Qatari men wear underneath their white garthra dress? Is it the common underwear like shirt and boxer shorts? briefs? nothing at all??? what? ....I'm curious for a conservative society like this, they must be wearing something underneath!
If your curiosity is not satisfied, go and ask a Qatari man, what is he wearing inside?? LOL
Don't feel embarrassed, If you get a nasty replied back from one of them, you ask for it! LOL

wear silwar mostly. underwear not that much they dont wear.

under the thobe is a white cotton T-shirt or vest with white cotton pyjama type trousers (underneath that is regular underwear). All about keeping cool.
under the ghuttra (large piece of white headgear) is a small ghafiya (cap) usually with a woven pattern to allow holes for ventilation. Again, very practical for the weather here as ghuttra can be wwrapped around face and head to block sun and wind (and cold!)

only thin white pyjamas underneath the garthra...sorry no underwear.
Qataris/gcc people wear pyjamas or siwar( a.k.a lungi in south indian terminology)
Long Johns
over the underwear they wear a white pyjama.
have seen the pyjamas, i am assuming the underwear part.
