Congrats Ernie. GOD bless you.

Stop answering Mr. Timtan. He is a N_t Sh_ll. Some people dont deserve the respect. Simple as that.

Peace.

Mr. Timtan do have some personality issues. You can see which ever thread he goes he says similar things. Always thinking narrow minded.

For you Mr. Timtan, seriously I do want you to see some psychiatrist. Once for all you have to decide that you need help. This is not the first thread where I noticed your personality issues and your si_k ideas. You dont know how to respect others.

I wish I could be of more help to you. May GOD show you the right path also.

timtan..if i would meet jewish girl i would convert to jew??..is that your question?, you have to understand that I am not a man that look at the cover of the book and decide this is the best one, I do read and understand the book then i can decide to take it or not. I met her she told me about islam it wasnt easy for her or for me to agree within a day or two, as i said the way she was nice/kind and didnt force me to convert the more I wanted to know more about Islam. I went to fanar (Qatar Islamic Community) and i got some books , it took time for me till i decide to convert. all in all its a commonsense I used NOT just love, I am not blind, if a jewish girl would tell me about her religion I would use commonsense to find out what is true and right, so far Islam made me to realize the beauty of life.

I LOVE QATAR!

Ernie, Alhamdulillah you've taken the first huge step in the direction of light. As we know we have to uphold the five pillars of Islam to be a true Muslim. To know, feel and see the beauty of Islam, look for an Imam who can and is willing to reveal to you Tareekad. As we know death comes to everyone young and old and we can't predict. If you're able to find one, understand the Five Pillars deeply, only then you will be considering yourself a true Muslim. Sorry for my long comments dear QL'ers. From where I came from in general, most Muslims do not bother to take the teachings of Islam deeply only just by simply learning Shariat. In Islam we're taught to learn SHARIAT, TAREEKAD, HAKEKAT & MAARIFAT. As we knew Hakekat & Maarifat will be bestowed by HIM upon understanding and practising Tareekad (this is from my experience and understanding). Insya Allah we'll be in touch again. Wassalam

Meaningful's advice is practically important - "get muslim friends online they can help you as here in QL people are nice there a good muslims here if you have any question PM us, im sure everyone of us will be happy to help you."

It's very important not to be misled by extremists. Ernie, may God bless you and keep you on the right path as you continue to seek and learn about the truth.

Timtan, in a sense, it was good that you posted what you did at first, because you prompted him to explain that while she was the motivation for him to learn more, he became a muslim after learning more. I believe his intention is true but I hope he continues on the right path.

And I agree with Jackie - "he was with his parent(s) and in his country all this (these) years, nothing made him get closer to christianity ok? so i think it is more than the girl thing". So, Timtan, you might want to direct your scathing criticism towards certain parties (eg. the general environment of USA) for abdication of responsibilities.

God speaks through everything that happens in life, if we listen. Sometimes, when we're not listening or are unaware, something momentous happens to make us take note. In his case, it was the love of his life. Everything is God's will and by God's grace, man has free will to choose.

Brother AmanuAlla thank you for your number and i will keep intouch InshaAllh, i will PM here in QL asking some few questions plz.

Brother Prendekar I have already explain why i convert to islam but i will do it again ; I met the right person who is muslim , and it is not because just love made me convert but because of how she is, how she lives. her life atract me very much and when i asked her she said this is what islam is, she is nice, kind and intelligent. it made me think if islam is this why dont we all be muslims? i loved her and when i told her she said love Allah before me ...i was amazed the way she loves and the way she is confident about her religion, for that reason i started learning about islam till i converted online. Iam very happy doing this and now i know iam on the right path.

I suggest you to source you information thru any good scholars or authentic books written by known scholars.

Even the difference between Shiates and Sunnis is nothing more than difference of opinion after the demise of Prophet (PBUH).

assalaamu alaykum ernie,

may Allah reward you adundently for this big step in your life, don't let people get you down and verbally beat you up over you reasons, people get interested in islam for all sorts of reasons but they stay for the pure teachings.

regarding shi'a islam, there are a few different types so it isnt straight forward. some are more mainstream than others, others advocate some beliefs which are in contradiction to Tawhid (pure monotheism) but to be honest with you so do many people who claim to be sunni!

take things really easy right now, learn the basics and built up slowly in your knowledge so you can begin to tell the good from the bad.

assalaamu alaykum,

Abu Abdillah

Hi ernie, good to know you took the shahada and are now muslim.

Now it is time for you to increase your knowledge of Islam but it is important too to keep pon the right track, on the right Islam. The Islam brought to us by the prophet Mohamed (pbuh) as it was understood and practiced by his companions.Anything else (as my dear friend and islamic studies teacher says)is mislam.

Shia ism and all the other isms and schisms are deviant sect out of islam.

if you have come from darkness into the light of islam my advice and that of all muslim scholars and student of knowledge, stick to the true Islam as Taught by the prophet and understood by the companions.

Anything else is deviation from the truth.

Thank you Brutus and harmoo good that you understood me...and again im explaining it : she made me to be muslim i agree that , and i became muslim not because of her but ontop of that, after reading and understanding islam i came to realize that iam in the right path. there a lot of nonmuslims who accept islam for the sake of love but after understanding islam they remain muslims even if the girl decide to go away, short and clear ; she was just a reason me to accept islam but its my responsibility to stay honest to Allah whether she is with me or not.

Hi Puppy, i will be honest to you and to everyone who wants to know...i was born christian but never in my life i practise, my parents also they were just christian by name not practising or told me what is it. honestly i didnt know anything about any religion till i went to Qatar, i saw muslims going to mosques and i deal with them till the day i met the arab girl then i asked her about islam , she was very nice in explaining , she didnt hurt my feeling and when i told her im not into any religion in my life she didnt say any bad word but she said well try to understand islam, learn about it u will find ur way! i start learning from her and sometimes net ..till i fall inlove with her because of her kindness and i asked her can u tell me why you are so nice? she said islam made me who iam.she told me all the beauty of islam and i started falling inlove with islam too. so now here iam loving islam and learning about it while inlove with her was the reason, and bcz she did not push me into islam it made me love her more.

Hey Ernie, just out of curiosity... why did u change religion?

- Beacause of the woman you love?

- Or because you didn't find Christianity fulfilling enough?

- Did you seriously believe in Christian religion before, did you practice?

- What do you prefer about being Muslim?

- How do you feel better/different now?

Thanks
