Qatar POLICE-- wat u think of them?

martinitheresaparty
By martinitheresaparty

This is a very provocative question and i know a lot of people there who are sooo scared of the qatar police will start hiding their real thoughts or idea...

I dont expect everyone to response to this as i know not everyone can stand to question the credibility and smartness of qatari police..

but i can coz i have always outsmart them...

My answer -- > they need more training on english as they dont speak english well considering that the country has thousands of expats from engliash speaking countries.

they need to be smart coz most of them are not... so many times me and my friends have outsmarted them and left them looking for pitiful...

they need to train themselves in real combat coz they dont know how to throw a punch, they just know how to talk and talk and talk.. blah blah blah..

Now after reading this.. anyone of you there what do you think f qatar police.

dont just write BAD things if you plan.. BUT wrie good things too..

just like me, i can say they are nice people coz they never arrested me even my weeds are obvious on my seat when they checked me out...

lol

or they just didnt notice it.. lol..

see they dont arrest me bcoz they cant find me...

lol...

Hail Qatar/.... i love this country though... the king is very determined to lead its people..

In my honest opinion and experience, some are frustrating and waste of time.issue reported will not be dealt with to yield a positive result.

Dont feel bad that the local cops r puzzies

If you go to New York the pow pow will shoot you before you even get a chance to grab your glock.

Or they will simply walk away acting like they dont see whats happening...

thats cuz they bring the little whiteboys from the berbs and drop them off stight in the hood.

I seen people get shot trying to grab their lighter to light a cigeratte while talking to a cop.

RIP Shaun Bell ( you can google the story Shaun bell murder NY)

idk if these cops have any guns in Qatar but a a puzzy with a gun in his hand is the worst typa cop youd be wanting to face "shoot first ask questions later"

i can see you know how to read.... so read articles about crimes in qatar.. unpublished crimes... and tell me qatar is zero crime...

the king himself is a good leader i must say, and his wife is a very dear and humble queen but their pawns, not all but most of the police are really terrible..

and yeah they cant throw a punch but soooooo lame.. lol.. my friend a filipino was deported coz he is not smart to out wit the police, and he told me most of the time they were hurting them , they didnt throw much punch but slap... now i sometimes think, these qatari police are female.. lol...

yes i am still in qatar and am enjoying it...not to include the misery of many qatari police... why i really highlight them, coz one of the guys who replied here is correct, they just whip asians' and africans' back but not westerners.. a clear proof that they fear the westerners... LOL...

A police officer helped me change my flat tire while his partner stayed a few meters behind us to warn other motorists. This happened in the corniche a few years back.

Couldn't forget the experience.

Very courteous as far as I have experienced. It is disappointing, however, that the judges often rule out what seems to be solid evidence, especially when it is against nationals. I haven't experienced it; this is just how it comes across in the press.

its their land, dont assume ur native language impression create any pressure upon them, you are in arab land. The land where arabic is to be prefered as mother tongue!

They are decent, helpful and polite.

and while I wish they spoke English (because I am too dense to conquer Arabic, no matter how I try), I don't think it is fair to complain that they don't know our language when we are in their country. However, I do think there should be at least one duty at all times who speak the major languages spoken here, since police need to be able to communicate with people.

However, I would like to note that I am a Western chap and I do see them treating Asians very differently (and quite poorly in many cases).

Actually, I find them to really good. Once my car was broken down, this cop came over and helped me push it to the side of the road, and gave me a lift to a nearby garage too...whilst being polite and courteous all the time...

err.. ok the cops dont know much english, but I recently came back from Austria where most dont know english either and only german....so I dont hold that against the Qatari cops...

You are leaving in a Arab Country. Before blaming the police for learning english, why you are trying to learn arabic also. That will benefit for you to learn a new launguage.

i think they are 100% responsible for the bad traffic in Qatar. ppls make horrible mistakes and get away with it only because they can speak Arabic and ppl like myself(no arabic) with a clean record of years of driving end up paying for the mistakes of some lunatic drivers who might kill or get killed in an accident sooner or later.

My experience so far, has been quite good. No complaints. The only situation, I still cannot get me head around, is that, while driving towards the Sheraton on the Corniche, if you decide to turn left, to avoid a huge build up of traffic and take the parallel road into the Westbay area. WHY DONT THE COPS ALLOW U TO ???? Still beats all the reasoning out of me.

But the COPS are good !

Well, it is not the matter wether they are nice or not, infact they are unprofessional most of time, and their attitude towards Asian cummunity is really BAD Although they are also Asian.

IM just wonder how they tolerate the worng doing of Westren Expats and not the Asians or Africans....

why this discrimination?

Actually I had a lovely police officer (who only spoke Arabic) come over and tell me I was illegally parked yesterday. In my broken Arabic I apologised said I didn't know and that there was no sign. He was really nice and let me go without a ticket.

He could have been horrible - he had the right - but he saw that i had made an honest mistake.

And yes must learn more Arabic! :)
