Guru Busters: Exposing India's Charlatans

if you have 50mins this documentary is very revealing.
Warning: in the last 10mins there is a very disturbing scene where a dog is bitten by a snake.

Please note this IS NOT an anti Indian post; rather it is an anti superstition post, those marginal superstitions and those accepted superstitions(religion)that hold credence around the world.

Peace

I would suggest reading "Karma Cola" by Gita Mehta ...a very interesting read about these charlatans who can be found in India.

Quite a lot of them are concentrated around the spiritual tourism belt and make a living out of selling these talents even to educated /civilised tourists from all over the world.

Who dares,wins!

That's another thing to add to my list of depressing things in the world =(

I'm doing good, just bummed out and worried about my folks (with all that's transpiring in Lebanon).

My new moto (stolen from Mythbusters): I reject your reality and substitue my own!

Stay safe bro.

Perfection does not exist. The question therefore, is: what level of imperfection are we willing to settle for?

Looks like I will have to cancel my trip to Beirut in 2 weeks time!!!!!

"Deaths in the Bible. God - 2,270,365

not including the victims of Noah's flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, or the

many plagues, famines, fiery serpents, etc because no specific numbers

were given. Satan - 10."

How MOST of the population of this planet still cling to delusions of the suprenatural (in some form or another) even in today's day and age....makes me want to write off the entire species on some days lol

Stay safe.

The left front Govt in West Bengal(30yrs in Power continuously) has aptly chosen this subject to drive away the people from Superstitious belief's and to rely more on science and modern medicine. It is unfortunate with illiteracy prevailing in India these type of educative measures have been taken to prevent the human beings from falling a prey to the so called self proclaimed magicians, tantriks and people who hoodwink the public for money tapping opn the weakness for superstition and sentiment.
