Ethiopian airliner crashes off lebanon :(
CNN) -- An Ethiopian airliner with 83 people on board crashed into the sea after takeoff from Lebanon early Monday, Lebanese army officials said.
The Boeing aircraft was en route from Beirut to the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, when it disappeared from radar 30 minutes after takeoff from Rafik Hariri International Airport in Beirut about 4 a.m. local time, Lebanon's National News Agency reported.
On board were 54 Lebanese nationals and 29 people of other nationalities, the army officials said.

I heard that the plane was stroke by lightening that started the fire on the plane and resulted it in its crash...its a big tragedy... May all souls RIP... :(

Oryx - true. It's been a few years since I last flew Ethiopian but they provide excellent service and have, until now, had a very good safety record.

If it crushed after 30 minutes then it crushed over the Med. sea to the south of Beirut.
What makes me terrified is that the Ethiopian Airlines are among the best:S
I have flown Ethiopian a few times.... I found them to be a very good airline - cabin and ground crew.
