Do you think Talban will win?

With the escalating violence in the past few day, It really got me wondering about collation forces capabilities and whether they will ever win this war.

Any victory of Talban, will have its impact on our region. And will strengthen their so-called “jihad” in Iraq, Somalia, Morocco, Algeria & Yemen
Not to mention their possible raise to power in the gulf region

taliban will win....the U.S and its allies will withdraw the economic conditions back home will see to that.....for the taliban, pakistan is next for them....after that the region of balochistan....while engaging in a war with india over kashmir with nukes got from pakistan.....next stop iran to defeat the hated shia's with more nukes from pakistan.....iran will blame israel and the U.S and will look to stop the taliban by intimidating saudi with their nukes(cmon....they will have it by then)...the whole middle east erupts blame israel again.....time to gain revenge on the zionists.....hezbollah get their nukes from their brothers in iran and the taliban...go to war with israel taking all the zionist enemies along with them....we have a nuclear war....and then......

So choose wisely what u hope and pray for.....a continuation of your present way of life or an untimely end to it.

I dont think the Taliban will make a final victory over the allies..But still, they are well capable of PROVOKING or even CHALLENGING 'em.

When the mujahedeen/Taliban were beheading Russian conscripts, executing teachers and blowing up schools back in the 1980s we in the West were calling these fighters "freedom fighters". Now they're just terrorists.

No modern liberal and enlightened person could support what the Taliban stands for. That doesn't mean you have to support an occupation of Afghanistan.

Bombing weddings and funerals from the air is frankly as bad as anything the Taliban have done.

so would never be happy under the Taliban. But since I am not Afghani, it hardly matters. I would never be content as a 2nd class citizen who had to don a burqa in order to "protect" men from their own bad urges which must be so out of control that they can't control themselves without completely subjugating women. Furthermore, I am grateful that I had access to education and am able to make a contribution to society through my career, as well as have had the experience of raising 2 great children.

Do you really need to have this discussion about the Taliban? Surely you don't expect any educated and intelligent man to defend them -- much less a woman?

mentality that believes the enemy of your enemy is your friend. You say the Taliban reflects poorly on Islam and you know that is not good for the Afghanis who are your brothers and sisters in islam. But because you don't like the US, you wnat the Taliban to win??? When do you think that Arabs will realize this strategy gets them nowhere?

I would hate to see the Taliban regain control of Afghanistan but I also don't want to see the US tied up there for years and years. In a way, I think people get the government they deserve; and it looks like the Afghanis deserve the Taliban. Just hope it doesn't spread into Pakistan and Kashmir.

No one wants to remember that. Well Pakistan and USA certainly not, they're up to the throat in their own sewage. And Saudi has dealt with its' problems, at the expense of some Amnesty International bitching and moaning, a minor discomfort I'm sure you'll agree.

As you can see most people perceive it as a black/white, almost lord of the rings setup where an occupier fights a liberator. I don't think banning LIFE is any kind of liberation, but it's really easy to argue for a Taliban Afghanistan, especially when you're behind a keyboard on the western coast of the gulf :P

And for that plague we have to thank the trinity of geniuses, namely USA, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia. One supplied the money, one the vehicle, the third, the ideology. Now that the beast is unchained, it is up to them to control what they have created. Good luck!

Bombing funerals and weddings (or any civilians for that matter) is completely reckless and immoral. I can't believe there are many Afghans who support the foreign occupation of their country. Also I believe these elections in Afghanistan are a total sham.

If you make a survey in the Arab countries, you will find that more than 65 % saying that USA wants to be the only policeman in this world.

Also 65 % of Arabs wish USA to stay away from their business.

We as Muslims are as our prophet Mohammed PBUH said like one body if one part is injured then all other parts of the body will share the pain and try to repair it.

The above teaches us to stick together.

The unapologized civilian causualties caused by The US bombings and drone attacks both in Afghanistan and pakistan have turned this war into an ethnic Pashtun war. The victims of their attacks are mainly Pashtuns who had nothing to do with 9-11. Pashtuns have always resisted and defeated foreign occupation and unfortunately there are no chances of peace as long the foreign forces are there.

I can't believe the only people in Afghanistan who want to get rid of the foreign occupation of their country are the Taliban. There must be other groups and adherents of other philosophies who are willing to fight to end the occupation. I think we in the West have labelled them all Taliban so that we can convince ourselves we are trying to do some good.

Both sides will slowly tire of the conflict. the Allies will exit "gracefully" and Karzai, the puppet will integrate some Talibans into the government to stay in power..

Life will go on .
