Challenging Opening Remarks in PICPA Qatar Launching Assembly
PICPA – QATAR PRESIDENT’S OPENING REMARKS
Welcome to the launching of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants – Qatar Chapter! Indeed, this is a remarkable event for the Institute of Accountants because this evening unveils an organization that will reinvent the accounting profession in this part of the world.
In a very dynamic business environment we have in Qatar, we should be equipped with up-to-date knowledge to be able to keep up and go beyond our economic goals. The saying, “We cannot give what we do not have” is very true indeed, but by the creation of this professional organization, the required continuing professional education for our colleagues can be well provided. And thus, PICPA-Qatar is not only committed for the growth of its members, but also partners with various companies in building competent professionals which is vital to the achievement of their objectives.
Though our organization is currently dominated by young professionals who are full of fresh ideas and unwavering enthusiasm, this should not hinder our senior colleagues to join our vision and to improve the accountancy profession. And so, may this event encourage to those who are still contemplating in joining PICPA – Qatar, for we believe that their experiences will surely provide valuable support to the achievement of our goals.
Moreover, we should keep in mind that the professional culture we are tying to build in PICPA-Qatar transcends organizational identity of the companies where we are employed; hence, our company affiliations should never be a hindrance to any Filipino professional in joining this organization. Again, may this pose as challenge to those who are still hampered by competition mind setting. For in unity, we will truly find success!
As we launch our professional organization, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our sponsors who partnered with us in building public confidence to our professionals. Also, I would like to commend the Officers and Non-academic committee for an excellent job in making this event a great success.
Finally, we must remember that this is the beginning of the success of PICPA Qatar as we build the pillars of our history. Let us continue to uphold the values of Integrity, Professional Excellence, Innovation, Discipline, Teamwork, Social Responsibility and Commitment. By all means, we should turn our Professional Expertise into an Excellent Service.
Once again, Good evening and may our God bless us all. Thank you.
