Consolidated Gulf Co. (CGC), the leading IT, telecom and engineering solutions provider and Nokia partner for Qatar, has extended its technological support to the Qatar Marine Festival. CGC is the communications partner for the festival which will take place between 12 and 21 April in Doha to celebrate the country’s rich cultural legacy.

Rashid Mohd Al-Binali, Qatar Marine Festival Organising Committee (QMFOC) Communications and Public Relations Manager, and Anil Mahajan, COO, CGC signed an agreement to this effect in Doha on Tuesday.

Announcing the strategic tie up at a press conference, Al-Binali thanked CGC for their unequivocal support in organising this festival. He said: “As the communications partner for the event, CGC will be providing full technical support, including WiFi and PA-GA sound system for hassle-free Internet connectivity and smooth conducting of the grand event. We appreciate their support and look forward to have more collaboration with CGC in future.”

Anil Mahajan said: “We are privileged and feel proud to be associated with this prestigious event. As a socially responsible company, we value and look forward to contribute more towards the preservation of cultural traditions, protection of environment and promotion of educational, sports and entertainment sectors which will further enhance all round development of the country. Marine being the part and parcel of Qatari society, QMFOC’s initiative is laudable and we thank them for giving us an opportunity to support their efforts to host this mega fest.”

Abdulaziz Ibrahim Al Ishaq, Head of Media and Broadcasting, and Thamer Mesaad Al Qadi, IT Manager of QMFOC, and Syed Ayaz, Business Development Manager, CGC, were also present during the signing ceremony.
