Shiite, Shia or Sunni are the same in Islam since they pray to the same one god. The only difference is how they practice it.

Hazrat ALI, HASSAN & HUSSAIN {R.A.} were the Follower of MUHAMMAD Peace be upon Him.

What is Islam?...

Hey,

I just got in too, and I did go to the Urdu Majlis- but its very different..(I think)..Its right behind the Qatar National Library. I can email you directions if you want.

The Iranian imambargahs are suppose to be the good ones, but apparently - I havent had any luck finding them. Let me know if you find any.

Cheers,

Abbas

is really easy to find them in Bahrain with all the black flag areas, was expecting to see at least some here in Qatar. In Bahrain aren't Shiites banned from joing police/army?

Are there any Shia Imambarghas in Doha? I know there are Shia Mosques, but I would like to attend urdu majalis

Please let me know if there are Urdu Majalis on a weekly basis. I would also be interested in attending Dua-e-Kumail. I'll be moving to Qatar in 2 weeks, and I would really like to meet other shia expat sisters or local Shia sisters living in Qatar!

Not much of a majority here, but they are a big majority in Bahrain and Eastern Saudi.

Dora not Shites.. Shiites..as from the Muslim Sect of Shia, as many are in Iran..

As I was reading the history about Qatar and the Arabian Gulf, it was amazing to find out that majority of the indigenous people of this Area were actually Shiites and of Persain origin..
