You are clearly looking for a designer puppy, I suggest you buy a handbag or some shoes instead. Then Qaws won't have to rehome it when you realise that even sweet dogs pee on your sofa and eat your shoes.
Excuse me Mishty - clearly you haven't been to the shelter as we currently have 15 puppies looking for new homes. All of which are gorgeous, healthy and friendly pups. And for the record - our dogs aren't free!
What exactly do you class as a "sweet" puppy? And looking for something "small and furry" isn't really a good start. Every puppy grows into an adult and you need to be prepared for this. Also some puppies that are furry when young grow up to have short coats.
If you are looking for a pure breed dog - expect to pay anything from QR5,000 to buy a decent, healthy puppy, QR600 for vaccinations, a minimum of QR750 for neutering, approximately QR1,000 a month on food/toys/treats/other bits and pieces and a LOT of time with them.
Also they can't live outside, need constant socialising and attention, they won't be house-trained so will go to the toilet all over the house and chew things. Puppies can't be left on their own for more then a couple of hours so someone will need to be at home for all or the majority of the day.
And finally you will have your new pet for anything up to 15 years. Please make sure you are in a position to take your pet with you if you ever leave the country before even considering getting a dog.
QAWS has more puppies than they know what to do with. Contact them via the website (www.qaws.org) if you're serious about getting a dog a responsible enough to look after one - even after it's stopped being a "small furry puppy".

And do not buy one from a pet shop. Pet shops here mistreat their animals and keep them in awful conditions.
