Pugs are a restricted breed. Other breeds such as Staffordshire and English Bull Terrier are also but it is possible to apply for an exemption if they are a neutered family pet. However, the Pug is not a breed that you will be able to import and even if you could, you would struggle to find an airline prepared to take the risk. If you managed it, be prepared for neighbours, Police and Vets to not question it and also a very high risk of theft and death of the dog due to the fact that they are unable to survive in this climate. Qaws have lots of cool looking breeds (and lots of nice non designer breeds)available to responsible owners and also check with Qatar Pet relocators and Doha Vets regarding the impossible task of importing a Pug. I am also interested...why do you want a Pug?
Well, I am not sure you will get one.. because pugs and the Qatar weather don't go well together...
Pugs have a short snout, which leads them to have breathing problems... and top that with Qatar's ever-so-hot climate, it is not advisabl for pugs, even if they have a short fur.
But again, if you can maintain the pug with UTMOST Care, I hope that you get one soon. Try approaching QAWS..Their site address is:
