from where can i adopt a pet.i live in qatar.my house is in matar qadeem.i have visited the qatar pets website but when i saw the map it was too far from my house.if any body has a dog alsession, german shepherd, yorkie puppy, bulldog or any nice breed please pm me at [email protected] thanks
If you go onto our website you will notice our pure bred salukis (Thor and Lulu, Twiglet is due to be put on in a few days). We also mention the mix if known (ie. we have 4 GSD mixes, 3 saluki mixes and a pitbull mix at present). We also have some dogs that are not yet on the website - including Imogen a purebred GSD.
Please note that our priority is looking after the animals and updating the website gets done whenever we have a spare 5 minutes.
If you are interested in one of our pets then please do not choose one off the website, come down and see who we have in residence.
chelsea,
you said, pure bred german shepherds and salukis, because on the site QAWS, it's always mixed dogs...
please confirm
(Just as a side note - QAWS adoptions are not free - we ask for an adoption donation of around QR250 to help us cover some of the animal's costs! It doesn't cover all their costs by a long shot but every little helps!!!)
it will be less expensive to take a taxi to QAWS than to buy a pet from a shop. QAWS adoptions are free.
It's a shame you think it's too far to come and visit us at QAWS (formerly known as QatarPets) as we have several pure bred german shepherds and salukis as well as nearly 40 beautiful mixed breed dogs.
If you think it's too far in the car to come and visit us - how far are you planning on walking your dog everyday?

its really not that far, just looks that way on the map. Actually nothing is that far in Doha!! Not only will you find wonderful dogs and cats, but they are the ones that most desperately need a home.
I will give you a suggestion tho....think twice about getting a pure breed animal, especially from here. Here they have been so overbred that they can have serious health and genetic problems. I know some people think that mixed breeds aren't as "beautiful" as the pure, but they are extrememly loyal and loving.
Give QAWS a call....
Please contact the folks at QAWS!! They have a lot of sweet dogs and cats that are in need of a good home. Contact Poppy or Xena from QL or go to the website www.qaws.org
