I intend to bring my pet( female dog - Breed Pincher ) from Rio de Janeiro Brazil to Doha .
Please I need to know how much it will be ?
My pet is small , and I intend to use the cabin area .
Someone can answer me please ?
Thank you all !
We have used QPR several times and highly recommend them. It was well worth the cost to avoid having to run around for documents and to get the proper advice as to what you needed to do. As to flying in the cabin, check with the airline. My recollection is that Qatar Air does not allow (now if you were flying with your falcon, that would be another matter).
We use Qatar Pet relocators and whilst it would be cheaper yourself, they know all the rules, regulations and will sort out all of the paperwork you need.
They were excellant and delivered our dog right to my door from the airport.
We used QPR and would recommend them. Their charge, for the paperwork needed to import our dog, was around QR550. For us it was well worth the cost as we had no clue what was required. We have since brought our dog back to the US and will bring him back to Doha in the fall, and even though we now know the ropes, it was well worth their fee to us to avoid the hassle of dealing with the local authroities in getting the permit and registering the dog.
The cost of the actual transport will, of course, be on top of that and wil vary depending on the airline and method of travel. I know Qatar Air does not permit pets in the cabin (except for falcons) but other aitlines may. I suggest you talk to Janet at QPR snd ask, she can probably answer any questions you may have.
Not if you want peace of mind. Have a look at our website www.qatarpets.org and you can get quite a bit of information there. From there you can make up your mind. Have a safe trip! :)
Having used QPR recently I would highly recommend them. It is cheaper to do it yourself however, very time consuming at a time when you have many things to think about for your relocation.
You can probably do it your self cheaper. However check the QAWS website regarding regulations of bringing your pet in the cabin as Qatar decided last year that this was not allowed anymore ( I do not know if this is still in effect) Also they give all the info on the vaccinations etc. Qaws website is available thru Qatar Living, go into groups and then look for Pets & Animals.... The airline you will fly with will advise you on the regulatons as to cost and possibility etc.

with KLM air you can bring small pets in the cabin, and is very cheap as well

It would probably be much cheaper if you made all the arrangements yourself but there would a lot of effort required.
