Dear All
I just got interview call-up from RasGas for Mechanical Supervisor job position. As I browse thru their agent in Malaysia website (AP recruitment), I got to know that the position is at Doha.
Appreciate if someone could tell me the difference between working in Doha and Ras Laffan. I assume Doha is where the office/headquarter is, while Ras Laffan is the field/site.
This would allow me to anticipate the nature of work later on. Either managing with all the paperwork or involve as frontliner with life-action.

currently, im trying to figure out the job's nature so that I'm prepared for the interview
wish me luck. i'm praying to get the job
rasgas offices are in several places in doha (still not moved to a definite site with everybody in one place).
But yes mainly in doha is office work and in Ras Laffan (RLIC) is LNG processing facilities.
Fields are off shore so I guess you will be either at Doha or RLC.
And most important I was forgetting where you will be provided housing: Doha or Al Khor Community. Depending on that transportation and travllling back an forth has to be considered.
You should contact the headhunter and try to find out through them what type of job you will be performing.
Or visit

Regards!!
If you work in Ras Laffan the big question is where you will live - on site, in Al Khor, in Doha? Each has more going for it than the previous, but each is further away (with Doha being ~1 to 1.5 hour drive from Ras Laffan).

Doha Rasgas ... i believe that might me the Rasgas tower its a construction of a building it that is what you have been hired for, the best thing you can do is to check with you agent as to what specific type of work you are going to cover.
in ras laffan they have Gas and as you said the field is there.
hope this helps.
