QITCOM 2012 to be even bigger this year
Qatar's technology conference, QITCOM will be even bigger and better this year. Last year they hosted keynote speakers like Guy Kawasaki and had major tech players exhibiting.
DOHA: Due to the increasing number of foreign companies engaged in information and communication technology (ICT), there are plans to increase the exhibition space for Qitcom 2012 by 50 percent, organisers say.
Ali Al Khulaifi, business development director of ictQatar, said they are planning to increase the exhibition space by 50 percent to 15,000 sq m to accommodate exhibitors from India, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Sweden and other countries whose participation is currently under negotiation. Already there are 14 Bahraini firms which have confirmed participation in the event, according to Al Khulaifi.
Qitcom 2012 Conference and Exhibition, aimed at the promotion of ICT to achieve the country’s vision of becoming a knowledge-based economy, is an ictQatar initiative to be held from March 5 to 7 at the Qatar National Convention Centre.
