i think it is better to ask when are the road repairs/construction in and around Doha ever be completed?
On the website a while ago it said it was opening in 2009.
No big difference to us, as the present airport is much comfortable now
Its suppose to complete in 3 Phases. Not complete yet. It is expected to be completed before 2012 Dec.

Just out of interest - why is this so important to people ?
Whether it opens or not is irrelevant as long as there is an airport of some type to get planes in and out of Qatar .
