Can somebody shed some more light on my query mentioned above more sepcifically on the following too.

Do I need to be in Qatar for getting a job in IT position?

If a company call for an interview would they reimburse the travel expenses for those who come from outside country? Also will the company arrange for the visa if they short list the candidate and ask to come for interview

How can somebody from outside Qatar can get placement there? I already registered with many of the popular web sites like bayt, monster gulf, naukri gulf, timejob, clarendon parker, jobsindubai etc

Can somebody give me web links of some recruiters or good IT companies there?

I am registered with bayt, monster gulf, naukri gulf, timejob, clarendon parker, jobsindubai etc etc for past 6-8 months. But no response. I think majority of the post in these expect canidates locally. Kindly advise.

Does your offer apply to only those in Qatar or is it open to people in other countries.

Keep looking for openings in the Local (Indian) newpapers. Most of the big companies in Qatar advertise and hire a lot from India. So its just a matter of waiting for the right AD. Aprt from that you can post your resume on jobsites like www.bayt.com or monstergulf or naukarigulf.......even timesjobs.com has a section for EMEA jobs....

Same case with me too. I am also facing a very similar probs like yours, no encouraging replies from anyone in Qatar for IT Position. I am Singapore, currently serving as IT Manager for retail and distribution industry providing consulting and in house support for erp applications, business intelligence tools, managing their IT Infrastructure and I am in this industry from past 13 yrs and hold strong knowledge of erp (functional & technical domain) but NO GOOD LUCK MATE.
