Job Offer

Hi! I really need your help.

My husband got an offer from one of the government companies in Qatar but the problem is his current employer will not give him an NOC/Release. However, I heard there are people who joined some government companies and hired locally without release from their previous company. Is it true that government firms have a way to employ workers locally even without release?

We really need your help, so if you have any idea about this matter pls. tell me.

Thank you very much.

I dont know if its applicable here in Qatar because in Abu Dhabi, if the employee will transfer into a Government owned company he/she doesnt need NOC... You better do what Applefrog advised you...Good Luck.

Davemari, I understand that employers in Doha do not have to give you NOC. Try speaking with the visa section of the Government company who offered you the job. They may be able to help with either the immigration department or your current employer. Good luck.
