Well looks like your right Qatar is not a very good place to be a junior non-native IT person looking for training. People are looking for those with IT skills that can start working on projects during their first week.

I would also ask the same question.. is there any way for a fresh graduate to enter the IT sector in Qatar.. i hv been searching all popular websites like bayt.com, mehneti.com etc.. but everywhere, i come across the annoying words; "minimum 3-5 yrs experience"... any help??

I’m a fresh IT graduate too, and I’m having the same problem too, I have been searching for any IT job that requires no experience and gives training, but unfortunately for the past 6 months all I found (Manager/senior positions with like 5 years + experience required and all sorts of other IT Qualifications/skills required).

I have been browsing through Qatar Living forums (Jobs) many times, Bayt.com, Monstergulf.com, Gulf talent.com, Reed, News papers, career fair, even applied in almost all the big known companies as I was hoping for any chance to get an interview for any General IT field area.

I’m trying to find any company that offers any IT job with training; I’m mostly concerned in gaining any IT experience.

But with no luck, I got no response, I would like to ask for your help, if anyone can suggest me on what to do, where to start looking, is there something important I am missing out ?

I can see the Qatar IT jobs market is stable and maybe even getting better.

Companies have realised that the world isnt going to end because a bunch of American banks went bust.

is there any open position for like junior network engineer/web developer?i look all the sites that recruits IT i just seeing there like senior or with 5 or more years experience.I hope any of the company in qatar can hire junior IT and they will give a training program coz most of other countries they hire fresh graduates and then they invest money for them and they trained well all the new applicants i think that's why other companies are successful because they give more opportunity on fresh graduates.that is only my observation.

As of this moment its seldom to find IT job that the salary is right coz some company has a lot of choices and the rate is very cheap. And demand IT very very small
