NEW DELHI (AP) — Indian authorities say they will check the licenses of all airline pilots operating in India after at least four of them were found to be flying aircraft using fake documents.

India's top aviation official Bharat Bhushan says two were arrested for using fake certificates to gain licenses, including a pilot with national carrier Air India who falsified his qualifications. The other two pilots are still being investigated.

Bhushan said Monday that the licenses and other documents of 500 airline pilots have been checked so far. A total of 4,000 pilots will be checked.

He says the second pilot was arrested last week after damaging an aircraft while landing and a scrutiny of her papers showed she had used fake documents to get a license

The real worth of a Pilot is how he deals with emergencies , not takeoff or landing - that can be done using automated systems..

Oh please guys... get over it. No one gives a damn about your country. Its the content of the article that i was intersted in. I was thinking more like "how can people put others lives in danger"

But your support to those fake pilots tells me how things go down in India!!!!
